We got married on 31st July 2022 at Citation. Our day was absolutely perfect, it couldn’t have run more smoothly. When we viewed Citation in October 2020 we absolutely fell in love with the venue, the decor and the location. When we viewed Citation, it wasn’t fully renovated as a wedding venue yet and Louize went out if her way to make sure we could have the number of guests we were looking to have. As soon as we met Louize, I knew I trusted her entirely to plan our day. Her knowledge and passion are unmatched and any time we had a question, Louize had the answer. The staff on the day were simply AMAZING, nothing was too much hassle and the day ran perfectly. Massive thank you to Robert (head waiter) & the duty manager Ethan for looking after us so well the entire day. The food was absolutely outstanding, all of our guests commented on how delicious it was, so massive thank you also to Colin and his team. Our day was absolutely perfect, We wouldn’t change a single thing. The package that Citation offer is perfect and I felt was really good value for the quality of food and service we received. We had the DJ play during our bands break and after the band finished which was a great addition as we wanted the night to continue on! I would highly recommend Citation as a venue and Louize as a wedding planner to anyone looking to get married in Glasgow. We wish we could do the entire day again! Emma & Callum

We can't recommend Citation enough! The venue was absolutely stunning on the day, thanks to the hard work of all the staff who couldn't do enough for us. The day ran smooth from start the finish and it was perfect! During on what was one of the hottest days of the year, the aircon was a life saver! Louize kept in touch regularly and eased any concerns I had due to Covid still dampening wedding dreams. Get this venue booked if you want something a bit different, romantic and extra bonus of being set in the heart of Glasgow making it easily accessible for guests! 10/10 ♥️

Firstly we want to thank you for putting up with our rowdy bunch. Everyone absolutely loved the entire day we are still being showered with compliments and praise about how amazing the day was and it really was all down to you and your team at citation. From the beginning you were so helpful talking us through options and ideas. Helping us with celebrant recommendations which we ended up taking (Alan was fantastic and absolutely perfect for us) and then Elaine for the flowers which were just beautiful. Also with the transferring from 29 to Citation it was just so smooth and you put our minds at ease when we had any queries or questions. The lead up to the wedding, having you keep in contact regularly was so helpful and welcomed, checking in about the small details just put our mind at ease about the whole day. The flexibility allowing us to drop items off early for the day to enable a smooth set up was also so helpful. On the day having you and your team guide us through each step was something we are so grateful for. Making sure everyone went in order and ensuring we all knew what was happening next. The set up and decor you created was just exceptional, absolutely stunning from the outside in, the whole venue just felt so romantic. The food was delicious and the drinks were also great. During the whole day me and Robert felt like royalty, all of the citation staff tending to our guests but specifically coming to communicate with us so we knew everything that was going on. All of the team just seemed genuinely happy and excited for us. I’m sure there is loads more we could go on about praising you and the team, but I think the most important parts for us have been mentioned. We cannot thank you all enough for creating the best day of our lives, we’ve spent our whole honeymoon taking about how special it was and how we wish we could do it all over again. We can appreciate that wedding planning rarely goes smoothly, however our experience between our own ill health and the countrywide lockdowns it was date #5 that was the winner for us. We first met Louize and the team in 2018 when we started planning our big day, from that moment Louize became an absolute and constant pillar of support and advice. On meeting Louize you will not only notice how friendly she is but also how she has a genuine passion for weddings and each persons own special 'day' and the more you get to know her the more you will realise that she is a wealth of information and advice regarding weddings, an absolute boon for any future couple looking for guidance that you can trust. We were in direct contact/wedding planning with Louize for 4 years which may seem like a long time but never once were we made to feel like we were in anyway problematic or less of a priority to both Citation and Louize. Last minute changes were made to the wedding ceremony (including the layout of the ceremony aisle itself) in order to accommodate my recent ill health but the established friendship-rapport that Louize offers allowed for me to have a very vulnerable and honest conversation with her about what my needs were going to be, Louize listened and made all the adjustments necessary in the background to ensure both of us would have absolute comfort on the day. Citation itself is absolutely breathtaking - you will see this on an open day, or when you go for a tour/meeting with Louize however nothing, and i mean nothing can prepare you for how it will feel on the day of your wedding.. it is without a shadow of a doubt the most beautiful setting I could ever have imagined. All day guests were approaching me to comment on the venue and to ask questions, people were blown away that the entire venue is booked out for the wedding with the diversity it offers. Citation offers different areas which I hadn't appreciated fully during planning, the dancefloor was full and the party in full swing yet we were able to chat and have fun with guests on the couches by the piano, still very much part of the group however removed enough that guests who preferred a quieter atmosphere were able to relax. The food, the decor, the handling of our possessions and the team on the day were flawless. absolutely flawless and the master of ceremonies too could not have been nicer nor more accommodating, there was always someone on hand to help if there was anything we needed and to guide the evening in accordance with the wedding schedule. As the bride, I was able to entirely let my hair down and enjoy every moment as much as I possibly could on the day which I have been told since is quite rare! I could never recommend Citation highly enough, it is beyond me to put into words how positive the entire experience of dealing with Louize and Citation and the service they provided from our initial meeting to the very end of the big day itself was. As a couple we will always hold a soft spot in our heart for Citation and the kettle will always be ready if Louize ever fancies a catch up!

Citation were fantastic from start to finish. No query was too small, no question too silly. Louize was always approachable and professional and ensured the full day tan like clockwork. The venue is stunning and every guest commented on its unique vibe and lovely atmosphere. I would not change a thing about our day!

We had our wedding day on the 24th of July and start to finish it was perfect. Louize and her team made the planning process so easy and exciting and made sure to check in regularly with us. Those personal links made it feel that much more special. The venue itself is stunning - all our guests were so complimentary. It’s prefect for an all day affair - we married upstairs and had cocktail hour and pictures downstairs before returning upstairs for our meal which was 10/10. Our guests felt very looked after by the attentive staff throughout the day. The venue is fully accessible which was such a weight of our minds for our older guests. The staff who run the day are on top of everything! And they kept us informed throughout. Nothing felt rushed but everything was organised which made the day flow smoothly. The evening reception was amazing as the downstairs transforms into the perfect bar and dance floor space. Special mention to the bar and security staff who were very helpful and friendly. In conclusion, if we could do the whole day again, we would! It was just amazing and something we’ll remember forever. Marissa & Stuart x
