The Parlour at Blagdon

Where do I even start? i booked the Parlour 4 years ago for my wedding on 26th October and fell in love with the venue straight away. It was a wet and rainy day but the atmosphere of the venue was perfect. Over the years the Parlour has undergone loads of changes all of which I've loved. I've had loads of queries and chopped and changed my mind with things but everyone has been so helpful, supportive and nothing short of brilliant. We had the most perfect day with family and friends saying just how fantastic everything. The food was perfect and have had so many compliments. Special thank you to Naomi for answering the many many questions I've had over the years, Roxanne for getting the venue sorted in the morning and supporting us girls and to Maxine who was just phenomenal on the day at keeping me right and checking that the mascara was staying in place!! The biggest of thank yous ever, I really couldn't have wished for a better venue to host our wedding day. Anyone that is considering the Parlour, 100% book it. I want to do the whole day again and it wouldn't have been perfect if it wasnt for you all! ❤️

We highly recommend The Parlour. From start to finish the planning process of our wedding was made so easy due to Naomi and the team. On our big day Alison who was our MC, did not not stop to ensure we had the most wonderful wedding day. From pulling chairs out, checking in with us and explaining every point of the day Alison really made our day. The venue is beautifully presented and has a really fresh feel. We had our ceremony outside and it was the perfect setting for our intimate wedding. The food and drink on the day was phenomenal. We opted for cocktail jugs instead of the traditional wine to serve with wedding breakfast which was really well received by our guests. The venue is dog friendly which was really important to us as our we wanted to have our two dogs as part of our wedding. The staff were just as attentive to our two dogs as they were to our human guests. We found the venue pricing fair and good value to money. Overall, we truly loved the venue and would do it all again with The Parlour in a heartbeat.

From 1st going for a look we knew then. The venue is exclusively yours for the whole day and night which compared to other venues was absolutely right for us. Staff are amazing they go above and beyond to help and make sure everything is perfect for your big day. All our guests were commenting saying the food was delicious 5*. This venue is absolutely stunning

Our day was absolutely fantastic, the staff guided us through the entire without a single hiccup. Prior to the wedding every meeting we had in the lead up to the day was informative and reassuring. Me and Rebecca are still on cloud 9 and the venue was stunning, all our guests commented on how good the food and the service was. Massive thank you again we couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day!

We couldn’t recommend the Parlour enough! From our very first visit to the day itself the whole experience couldn’t have been a better one. Staff: ALL of the staff are genuinely second to none but especially Naomi helping us plan our special day, Rosanne who was a godsend at helping to set up, Max on the day itself was just outstanding from start to finish and was infectiously happy, Alex the chef was a hero when I accidentally broke the cake, Sean the in house DJ was fantastic and had our dance floor bouncing all night long and Alison worked our whole wedding and was then back again early the following morning to sort our breakfast too. Definitely a team to be proud of! Food: Unbelievable! We had canapés which went down a treat during our reception drinks, the most delicious wedding breakfast (the lamb shank is still all our guests can talk about a fortnight later) and burgers for our evening food too. So reasonably priced and worth every penny! Venue: Absolutely stunning! We fell in love as soon as we saw it. It’s so nice we didn’t actually need to do very much to decorate it at all, just a few little personal touches to make it our own for the day. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous sunshine all day so the outdoor area was perfect and having each part of our day in different rooms made the day really smooth too. We can’t wait to get our photos back soon! Accommodation: The bedrooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bridal suite was the perfect space with its gigantic bathroom for the bride and maids to get ready for the day too. Overall, we had the most perfect day! The team were more than happy to accommodate any personal touches we wanted, the day couldn’t have gone smoother, the food was delicious, the staff were outstanding, professional and friendly at all times and the cost was more than reasonable for a weekend wedding in August and most importantly for us it was dog friendly so our gorgeous boy could join us for our special day too. 100% recommend every last bit!

Starting to plan our wedding was very daunting! We had no idea where to begin, we didn't have a clue about venues and where to start looking. The Parlour at Blagdon is a wedding venue extremely local to us, it was the first venue we chose to view. We immediately knew it was the one for us when we walked through the gate. The first thing we noticed was how friendly the staff were, very easy to chat to and they made us feel so at ease. We looked at a few other venues just to make sure but we nothing compared. Once we'd confirmed a date the planning began! We were made to feel so comfortable during each visit to the Parlour and we always left feeling more and more excited. There was never any pressure to confirm guest numbers/meals/final details etc, we felt completely relaxed and knew we had plenty support if we needed it. Our wedding day arrived and it was absolutely amazing. Staff were so welcoming and on hand to reassure us about what was happening and when. We are so grateful that we picked a venue where staff are truly happy and enjoy their jobs. Nothing was a bother for them. Every thing was beautiful down to the last tiny detail. We absolutely loved our overnight stay and the breakfast in the morning too! Thank you so much for all the special memories.

We have just had the wedding of our dreams at this beautiful venue. It has the perfect layout for an intimate and personal wedding. Everything just works perfectly and all the Parlour team are incredibly kind and helpful throughout the process. There is a lot of scope for personalisation at this venue to make it exactly as you want. We were blown away by the all the delicious food options available (our guests just loved it). The venue itself is beautiful even before any decor comes in - STUNNING. We were fortunate to have good weather, but even in the rain, The Parlour works perfectly with it's well thought out indoor and outdoor layout. We would recommend this venue to anyone. We had the perfect day. Many thanks to all the team and their attention to detail. Whenever we had any questions or requests, they were addressed immediately.

Throughout the entire process, staff at the parlour were friendly & professional. Naomi gave us lots of support at every meeting and was very helpful giving us tips etc. The day itself was spectacular, Max and Paul were very helpful in making sure we were happy and looked after us all day and night. As we knew we would forget to eat our reception dessert, they made sure we had some brought up to our room. The Parlour itself is a beautiful place, and we got really lucky with the weather (maybe a bit too lucky ha!). Just stunning all around and can’t recommend enough! Thank you for everything!

We had our wedding at the parlour at Blagdon this month (August 2024) having booked it in 2022 and it was the most perfect day, the service was immaculate, the staff went above and beyond, they reassured us at every meeting that if we had any questions at any time they would be there to answer. The food was amazing! Every single guest complimented it.

Where can I begin? This wedding venue and the people who run it at phenomenal. I had a really difficult start to my year when my dad died. It threw my whole planning experience into complete disarray and I just didn’t know how I wanted my day to look anymore. Naomi was the most patient and kind person to communicate with about this and she gave me all of the time and advice that I needed to navigate such a difficult time. Naomi made sure that when we were ready, she was able to give us the time we needed to plan our wedding the way we wanted it. And wow, what a day. It was the most relaxed, colourful and happy experience. It was everything we needed after such a terrible time, the whole team went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly and our guests were happy and well looked after. The venue was immaculate and well ran and all of the team were there to see me as I prepared to go down the aisle which I thought was so special! If you are considering The Parlour then you will not regret it!
