I cannot put into words how beautiful our day was
We finally had our wedding here at the old vicarage in elkesley in September! The picture do not do justice for how beautiful this place really is! The trees, the river and the vicarage itself are absolutely stunning and make for some unbelievable wedding photos! The cave bar is very impressive and a great rustic touch to the venue, Sue allowed us to have a duck race in the river which was so much fun for our guest! A little stressed about how the day would go as never done this before but sue kept everything in line and on time explained the next steps for us and the staff were very attentive friendly and polite! We had to change the date multiple times due to covid but Sue allowed us do make changes without any stress! I cannot put into words how beautiful our day was thanks to this lovely setting, the owner and staff. 100% would recommend a wedding here. Thank you to Sue and all the team. Danielle and Scott

We initially met up with Sue to discuss our vision and we were pretty much sold straight away! She was fab at arranging meetings to discuss progress and was always on hand to offer help. Fast forward to the wedding day and everyone was so well looked after on the day. Sue and her team were sorting food, moving seats etc. They couldn't do enough for us! They just made everyone feel at ease and comfortable and everything went perfect! We have already booked to camp for our anniversary and will make it an annual thing. The grounds are fantastic. There's rope swings for bride's to swing on... and for best men to fall in!! Very easy to find off the A1 and if people do plan on having a wedding there you have Clumber park hotel and 2 travelodge's less than 15 mins away! We also utilised the accommodation on site (for the bride and brides family) and we found both the coach house and log cabin spacious and clean!! Overall, our day was made extra magical by Sue and the fabulous venue she has!!!

Would highly recommend this venue
Stunning venue! The grounds are very well kept and the on site accommodations were fantastic! Plenty of space available for campers also. All staff were excellent. They made sure that our needs were met throughout the day and were extremely pleasant to all of our guests. Sue (the wedding coordinator) was present throughout and regularly checked to see if we were okay. Would highly recommend this venue!!

Wedding
The Old Vicarage is a BEAUTIFUL location to have a wedding at. The grounds are unbelievable and is so private. Sue and her family did an absolute amazing job with helping in every way to organise our outdoor wedding. Sue really couldn’t do enough for me, she was always available for a chat or a zoom meeting, she had tonnes of ideas and kept me organised and calm. She has lots of contacts for amazing suppliers, she thought of lovely tiny details and they all spent a lot of time in the days before our wedding to make it look magical and perfect. Our wedding guests can’t believe how amazing it was. Thankyou so so much we will be forever grateful ♥️ Lauren & Sean xxx

Whatever we wanted
We escaped here and stayed in the coach house (which has a great view over the campsite from the balcony) for our elopement wedding. Sue and the team were awesome and went out of their way to look after us, attending to all the small detail of the limited ‘wedding bits’ that we actually had in our simple ceremony. We had such a blast and enjoyed Sue’s enthusiasm and the company of her and her team and indeed the environment which allowed us to create and enjoy whatever we wanted. As a campsite (and we have stayed at many), this was great … perfect for families and a shallow river (inches deep in parts) where those brave enough to try English waters could do so safely. We shall be returning and it’s just a question of when.
