Our venue fee includes exclusive use of the house and gardens. We never charge extra for use of individual reception rooms – all the ground floor rooms, terraces and grounds are truly yours for the day. VAT at 20% is already included in the prices below, so there are no additional hidden costs. The venue fee is dependent on the day of the week and the time of the year, different days of the week or times of the year could have a different prices. Weekdays are often less expensive days to get married while weekends are always more expensive because of higher demand.

Every wedding at Stubton Hall is exclusive hire and tailored to your choices. We offer 4 different packages which are Feast, Lovely, Fancy and Extravagant. Whilst the price per head includes everything in each package, these can be used as a guideline and we can always make changes to the packages by removing or adding things and customising it to suit you and your day. Our price per head includes the bridal suite on the night of your wedding, two reception drinks of your choice, a delicious two or three course meal, hire of glassware, cutlery, plates and linen, the equivalent of a half bottle of wine per person, a flute of sparkling wine with the speeches, staffing, VAT at 20% and of course all the help and advice you need from our friendly and capable wedding coordinators.

Where do we even begin? Stubton Hall exceeded every expectation we had and gave us the wedding of our dreams. We were actually recommended the venue by a work colleague, and I am so, so grateful we listened. From our very first conversation and venue tour, we completely fell in love. The moment you drive through the gates, you know you're somewhere special. Every part of Stubton Hall feels luxurious, elegant, and effortlessly classy, while still feeling warm and welcoming. From the beautifully kept grounds and stunning ceremony room to the bedrooms, bars, and reception spaces, every corner has such an elevated feel and creates the most incredible setting for a wedding. The moment my now husband walked into the ceremony room, he turned to me and said, "We're getting married here." We didn't need to look at any other venues—we knew we'd found the one. We paid our deposit that very same day, and looking back now, it was one of the easiest and best decisions we've ever made. One of the things that made our experience even more special was having exclusive use of the venue for 48 hours. Being able to spend the evening before our wedding celebrating with our closest family and friends meant our wedding wasn't just one incredible day—it became an unforgettable weekend. It allowed us to relax, soak up every moment, and make memories we'll cherish forever. Throughout our planning, we attended several of Stubton Hall's open days, where we met fantastic suppliers, gathered so much inspiration, and really started to picture our own wedding coming together. 200 Guest Wedding - Stubton Hall200 Guest Wedding - Stubton Hall
We had the best time with Stubton Hall - where we hosted our amazing wedding over the Easter weekend. We were given exclusive use of the property from the afternoon of Good Friday through to breakfast on Easter Sunday and this was really amazing for us, as it allowed us to extend our celebrations, having 60 family and friends stay on site for 2 nights and celebrate with a relaxed evening on the Friday too. Stubton did a great job with catering - we had a lasagne the night before the wedding for all guests and filling breakfasts too. The bridal suite was also brought up a continental selection and special order of a bacon sarnie for the bride; with juices, pastries, coffee and tea it was a great selection and we were really well looked after. Laura the wedding coordinator looked after every detail, with Charlotte doing an amazing job supporting us throughout the whole process too. Throughout the planning process we were able to ask any question, by phone or email and the whole team responded to us quickly and helpfully. We went to the venue multiple times to look around and were also sent helpful videos of the bedrooms & house rooms, so this helped us plan the day seamlessly. During the day, every detail was dealt with fantastically by the Stubton Hall team - we were met with drinks as soon as our ceremony was over (which we held in the Orangery for our 200 guests) and then had a fantastic time in the beautiful grounds and house. The catering at the wedding breakfast was FANTASTIC. Stubton ensured they had plenty of staff ready to serve our 200 guests so each table was served quickly and the food was piping hot. We would thoroughly recommend the pea and mint soup, the lamb fillet (a massive hit with every guest) and the sticky toffee pudding. We’ve had countless guests tell us how this was the best wedding food we’ve had at any wedding - the quantities were fantastic and the quality was amazing. We also had guests with a really wide variety of dietary requirements and all these were taken into account at no extra cost to us, so all our guests had a fantastic meal. We were lucky to attend a wine tasting before the event and were able to choose from a great selection of wines. We also wanted to get in a particular sparkling English wine to celebrate with our guests and there was no issue with organising this. As we had 200 guests we had the orangery for both our ceremony and wedding breakfast - the Stubton team did a fantastic job of changing the room from the ceremony to a beautiful space for our meal, with the help our the amazing florist Michelle and stylist Fran (recommended by the venue). As we had an April wedding we were prepared to be inside for the whole day and we had quite a bit of wind - the rooms are beautifully decorated and had plenty of space for all our guests. In the evening our group went up to 220 and we still had plenty of room, with Stubton opening an extra bar for our guests who arrived whilst our speeches overran! The staff were friendly, helpful and patient supporting everyone have a fantastic day. We had many children attend our wedding and it was easy to have them at Stubton with plenty of high chairs available, as well as extra camp beds which we could add into the rooms where people were staying. Our evening party was fantastic - the team cleared plenty of space for our dance floor where we had a band (Just For Tonight - we would recommend) who got everyone up dancing. We also had a hog roast to keep everyone going. We got married at Stubton Hall on 10th April 2026, and we can honestly say it was everything we hoped for and more. Laura, Charlotte, and the entire team were so supportive throughout the planning process. People often say wedding planning is stressful, but working with Laura made it feel anything but. The whole experience was relaxed, enjoyable, and something we genuinely enjoyed. The day itself was flawless. We knew it would be special, but it truly exceeded all expectations. Our guests are still talking about it - especially the food, which many said was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding (one even told us the wedding topped their own!). Every member of staff was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. A huge thank you to everyone at Stubton Hall - this venue is an absolute gem. If you are looking for the perfect venue for your big day then Stubton Hall is just that. I don’t even know where to start with my praise for this venue - it was literally perfect from starting to plan the day to the actual day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and Laura the wedding coordinator was just fab - so professional and amazing at her job and good fun too. When we arrived at the venue for the weekend we were greeted by Mark who made the place feel like home for us all. He was wonderful with the children and again, nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank all the staff for making our day truly perfect in every way. This is an absolute gem of a place ❤️If you are looking for the perfect venue for your big day then Stubton Hall is just that. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to all the team at Stubton for allowing us to have the most perfect wedding day! After being let down by our original venue very last minute for our New Year’s Eve wedding, Stubton very kindly opened their doors to us when they would usually be closed. From the very first look round we were made to feel so welcome and they made every effort to ensure we were able to have everything we wanted and more for our wedding day. Laura and the team were so kind all the way through the process, and on the day helped everything run perfectly. Stubton was the dream location for our New Years Eve party from the warm and cosy fireplaces to the perfect dancing space well into the night. I cannot recommend Stubton Hall enough and we wish we could do it all again! Words cannot describe how grateful we are to all the team at Stubton for allowing us to have the most perfect wedding day! When looking around Stubton Hall it was so clear from the stunning surroundings, timeless decor and tranquility that this was our perfect wedding venue and none in the surrounding area could compete. The planning of the day, down to the tiniest of details - yes I’m talking about the placement of individual candles and signs - was made so simple and you felt like staff couldn’t do enough to make your day perfect for you. On the day itself and in the weeks after, our guests could not speak highly enough of the venue and its exceptional staff. Everyone worked so hard to ensure our day went by without a hitch. We can honestly say hand on heart that our wedding day was too perfect to put into a simple sentence. Stubton Hall is the most magical venue to get married and we wish we could go back and do it all again!When looking around Stubton Hall it was so clear from the stunning surroundings, timeless decor and tranquility that this was our perfect wedding venue and none in the surrounding area could compete. My husband and I have recently got married at Stubton Hall and it was everything and more! From the moment we first went to look round at stubton hall we were blown away by its stunning grounds, bedrooms and extraordinary ceremony room and dining hall! From day one, the team at stubton were fantastic! Laura our wedding co-ordinator was amazing. As a bride, I had lots of questions but no issue was too big or too small! Laura was able to help with every query I had and put our minds at rest! We had in depth meetings with Laura and the team about the food and the running of the day! We were even able to stay at stubton the night before to allow us to set up and have a lovely dinner in the orangery with our close loved ones! It was a lovely weekend away! The day of the wedding went smoothly and Laura ensured to keep both bridal and groomsman party on time to ensure the day ran smoothly! Our bridal suite was sublime along side all the other rooms! Our guests were blown away by the venue and the location of this venue! The food was delicious and had lots of delicious options to choose from! To us food was very important! We have had nothing but compliments about our special day and we cannot thank stubton enough for all their time love and support! The most perfect dayThe most perfect day
Our big day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Laura and the team made sure everything was covered, nothing was too big or too small. She answered every question and went above and beyond. We were given full access the day before to set up which we were so grateful for. The morning of our wedding we all arrived first thing and were greeted with tea and coffees. Laura gave us a count down and let us all know what time and where we needed to be, which allowed us all to be stress free. Everyone had the best day and we wish we could do it all over again. Does Stubton Hall have onsite accommodation?

Yes, we have 25 luxurious rooms in our country house for you and your guests. Payment for rooms is normally made the day after the wedding by the guests who occupied the rooms. Full English Breakfast and VAT is included in the price of the rooms. We love watching everyone come down to breakfast the next day to recount stories of the fun that was had on the wedding day.

It is also possible to book the night before your wedding at Stubton Hall. We do not charge an extra venue fee for this, but we ask that you and your guests take a minimum of 12 bedrooms.

Where is Stubton Hall?

Stubton Hall is conveniently located near Newark in Nottinghamshire. We are easily accessible from the A1 or from Newark or Grantham train stations. Stubton village lies 5 miles southeast of Newark and 10 miles northwest of Grantham on the Lincolnshire Nottinghamshire border. It is 120 miles north of London, 25 miles east of Nottingham, 75 miles south of Leeds. The train from London to Newark takes only an hour and ten minutes!

How can Stubton Hall help you plan your wedding day?

At Stubton Hall we aim to make your wedding planning effortless and hold your hands along the journey. After over seventeen years of providing outstanding weddings, we have learned a lot about how to make a wedding day special and go smoothly. Our small and friendly Events Team will personally guide you along the path to your event. We are here to help you with timings, menus, suggesting suppliers who meet our high standards, and more. No question about your wedding is a silly one - we will either have answers or we can help you find a way out of a planning dilemma.

Is Stubton Hall flexible with timings?

Yes, we are flexible in so many ways. On your wedding day you can arrive at Stubton Hall from 8am to start to get dressed (or sometimes earlier with prior agreement). Although most couples choose to have a ceremony at 1:30pm or 2pm, we also can arrange Twilight Weddings or Brunch Weddings. Our Events Team are here to craft the day you choose, not the day and timings that we tell you you must adhere to. It's all part of the personal conversations we hope to have with you as you plan your dream wedding.

What is the food like at Stubton Hall?

We pride ourselves on our delicious food, all of which is made in our kitchens by our chef. Our large variety of menus lets you choose between two or three course meals. Canapés, both hot and cold, are always a fun addition to your drinks reception - and we don't skimp! Our normal number of canapés per guest is 6, which is more than many other venues at a similar price. Dietary requirements are no problem whatsoever. After hosting weddings for so long, we are easily able to accommodate food intolerances or allergies. Whenever possible, we like to source meat and vegetables locally. We give opportunities for couples to taste a sample of our menus, so please watch our events to see when you could attend our next tasting event.

What kind of evening entertainment can we have at Stubton Hall?

The spacious Orangery at Stubton Hall is tailor made for dancing the night away. We have ample room for a DJ or a band, or both! You can add on fun extras like light up letters, photo booths, cocktail carts, champagne towers, dessert stations, and much more. We keep a great list of local suppliers who meet the high standards of Stubton Hall weddings.

What is the average cost of a wedding for 70 people at Stubton Hall in 2027?

The average price for a summer Saturday wedding for 70 guests in 2027 is £22,500. This includes the following:

Reception with 6 cold canapés and 2 drinks per person
Sit down three course menu
Half bottle of wine per person during the meal
a Flute of Prosecco with the speeches
Hire of all tables, chairs, cutlery & crockery, glassware, and table linens
Evening buffet including staffing
Our friendly Events team to help you plan and execute your day
Bridal suite on the night of the wedding
VAT at 20% - no extra calculations needed
