Our chefs have perfected menus that your guests will devour. From traditional 3-course meals to more casual street food options including melt burgers, tacos and tapas. There truly is something for everyone in our menus! If you are after a particular specialty, we do also offer the option of external catering for a fee of £500. The Old Library Full Description
Since being faithfully restored from The Old Library’s origins as one of Birmingham’s first free libraries in 1866, this historic setting has played host to many happy and unique wedding days. Wedding guests will be left mesmerised by the architecturally stunning building, which is flooded with natural daylight and exudes a romantic atmosphere.
Our unique and historic venue can easily accommodate up to 130 guests for a ceremony and sit-down reception, and there is further space for creating a dancefloor whilst accommodating up to 250 guests for an evening reception.
The Old Library is nestled amongst the bustling and diverse community of Digbeth, providing a variety of unique backdrops for those all-important wedding photos.
Our dedicated chefs have created a series of delicious menus your guests will devour, and the bar team have created a drinks menu to match. The Library Bar is a large area separated from the main space by three grand arch ways.
This hidden gem can easily cater to a particular theme that has been envisaged for a wedding day and our experienced events team are on hand to ensure your wedding day reflects your vision.

Omg what a venue, what a team.
I had my wedding here 15/10/22. Omg what a venue, what a team. There was no job to big or small the staff were so friendly and were always close at hand to help if we needed them. The day went with out a hitch. Well except for getting hitched to my amazing husband too. I’d recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you old library team your the best

It truly is absolutely perfect in every way.
Well What can I say…… We held our wedding at this venue in April 2022.
The Venue - is a hidden Gem in the heart of Birmingham, its a wonderful elegant, romantic space next to the hustle and bustle and quirkiness of the Custard Factory. It has hidden nooks and quiet areas. It truly is absolutely perfect in every way.
The Team - From start to finish the team reassured me and were professional throughout. I bombarded them with questions and emails as well as numerous visits and they could not have been more accommodating. Rebecca, Nikki, Kal and everyone were amazing though out and continued to support us on our special day.
The Food - Delicious - Huge portions and so so tasty - clear plates all round. My daughter has food allergies and Ioannais (the chef) was so on it. We had a good conversation followed by lots of pics of packaging and lists of ingredients, i have never felt so at ease and reassured.
The Day - Absolutely Amazing - So perfect - So relaxed - Everything was done to such a high standard and discreetly. The whole day flowed to perfection.
