The venue boasts three beautiful ceremony rooms – the Queen Isabella Room, the Black Prince Room and the Library Room – each offering its own distinctive character and charm.

- CCharlie & John13/08/2025Lovely venue Lovely venueWe actually live in Rugby, but much preferred the old world look of the venue at Cheylesmore Manor House, so decided on there for our wedding. My only criticism would be that a wedding was possibly booked to close to our time, which had a knock on effect. Room needed to be prepared, which delayed the guests going in and they were still outside when the bridal car pulled up. Other then that staff were great, very calming and welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Our customers travel from afar to marry at Cheylesmore Manor House and over the years we have seen many different types of ceremonies from your beloved pets as ring bearers to Medieval inspired ceremonies. One that always sticks in my mind is a Toy story themed wedding with every guest dressed as a character from the popular film.

Start early, make the planning fun, get organised and don't spend anything until you have set a realistic budget.
What is most important in wedding planning? It definitely has to be the location, venue and setting that all important date!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of our favourite personal touches is when couples choose to enhance their ceremony with one of our bespoke ceremony packages. From personalised promises and meaningful readings to special music choices and unique symbolic elements, these additions help create a ceremony that truly reflects their personalities and love story. We also love seeing family and friends involved in the ceremony, whether through readings, music or special roles, making the occasion even more memorable and heartfelt for everyone present.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Oooh that's hard to choose, we have many beautiful spots for photographs. However, it would have to be the bridge in the courtyard that provides the Manor house as the perfect backdrop for those special memories.

What is your venue's most unique feature?
This would have to be the extensive history that belongs to Cheylesmore Manor House, Dating back to 1250 the Manor belonged to Queen Isabella who was the wife of Edward the II and in 1320 she passed to her Grandson, Edward the Black Prince. The original gatehouse to the manor has survived and was once the only unfortified royal palace in England. Cheylesmore Manor is the oldest building in Britain to be used for such purpose.
