What a Gem of a place the old crown coaching Inn is.The staff , the service, the atmosphere were fantastic, along with the delicious roast beef & the cooked breakfast ( which was tweaked to my liking).Everything made my stay & I will definitely be back.

Kind, friendly and polite staff. Superb room with comfy beds. Food was also excellent. Nothing more to ask for. Clean and well appointed room.

The team has worked very hard and the new bar and dining/ballroom are both impressive. Chef Sam Squires is exceptional .

The Best Hotel in Town

The best hotel in town. Full of character and very friendly and helpful staff.

Enjoyed Sunday Lunch today at the Old Crown in Faringdon. Excellent food and friendly service. attentive but not intrusive. Felt very welcome, nothing too much trouble. Very good value. Having found it will certainly go again.

Excellent service from the Bar staff, treated us like family, the young guy behind the bar (Craig I believe) gave us a bunch of recommendations based on our tastes, fantastic evening, can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Loved the history of the hotel and its quirkiness. I don’t think many of the floors were level but that just added to the charm. The room was spotlessly clean. Beautiful snowy white bedding and towels that actually fit around your body! Comfortable bed too.

Friendly staff and lovely venue

We had Sunday lunch here and spent the afternoon in the courtyard. We ended up staying the night. The dinner was great and so was the breakfast. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The building has tons of character and has been refurbished recently to a high standard. I can't wait to visit again.

Super hotel, luxurious room, scrumptious breakfast

Fantastic hotel; recently revamped throughout. We stayed in the ‘courtroom’, extremely spacious with a comfortable bed, pillows and linen. A charming building steeped in history. Breakfast was delicious, in the relaxed dining room with the piano in the background. Thank you to Sebastian and the team - we will be back and hope to see you when you visit Ally Pally !

We went as a walk in and the staff were welcoming and friendly, accommodating us for dinner without a reservation. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent and delicious. We were brought complimentary dishes to try whilst waiting for the main course and chocolates at the end of the meal. An excellent choice of wines. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We absolutely love our original floor! Both in the Ballroom and the cobbled courtyard!

It simply has to be our progression. From gaining the keys to achieving two AA rosettes is something we are immensely proud of.
