The Oak Barn

The Oak Barn is a true gem of a wedding venue in the heart of Devon. As a supplier who's seen what nearly every venue has to offer around the southwest, The Oak Barn has a family run feel to it. That's because it is! Couples and their guests feel cared for and supported on their special day. With amazing facilities that fit all styles of weddings, plus with views for miles, I would highly recommend booking for a wedding day.

Some venues have it all, and The Oak Barn is one of them. As a wedding photographer, there are many things that make a wedding venue awesome, and the main one for me is the ability for the wedding to be done the couple's way. I have shot many weddings here, and each one has been different, allowing the couple to bring their vision to life. I especially love the outdoor space, there's so much on offer, and of course, the open space overlooking Dartmoor at sunset is incredible. I love it. Katharine and John are amazing hosts, and I would highly recommend The Oak Barn for your wedding if you are looking for something a little different, something a little more you.

We have coordinated, run a bar and provided decor at Oak barn and we ways find Katherine and John so accommodating and helpful. They even let my husband wash glasses in the farmhouse as the caterer was using the kitchen. I have recommend the venue to more than one planning couple and won’t hesitate to do so again. :)

Our wedding at The Oak Barn was everything we dreamed of. From our first visit, we knew it was the perfect venue. Katharine and John were incredible throughout the whole process. They were helpful, responsive, and organized, making the planning process enjoyable and stress-free. Katharine had so many helpful suggestions and offered us anything she had onsite that would fit our theme. The accommodation was exceptional, and all our guests were impressed with the quality and comfort. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to have our perfect day and we really couldn't recommend The Oak Barn enough!

From the gorgeous little Acorn Barn to all the lovely accommodation, the breath taking gardens and the superb Oak Barn itself for the reception, every little detail is absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Katherine and John were fantastic and really made our weekend special. Throughout the entire planning process they were extremely responsive, helpful and organised. Katherine had lots of really helpful suggestions and was happy to offer us anything she had onsite that would fit our themes. This made the planning stages easy rather than stressful! All of the accommodation is excellent and an extremely high standard.

I don't even know where to begin. From start to finish Katherine and John have been sensational. From AMAZING accommodation to being the most helpful hosts in the world, this was amazing. Our wedding was entirely outdoors and the gardens were just stunning. We have had so many people say it was the best wedding ever.
