Full Description
The Northorpe Barn will comfortably seat 110 people for a ceremony and wedding breakfast and 130 for evening celebrations and dancing. Our menu's include 3 course meals, buffets, hog roasts, afternoon tea and much more. We also take our drinks and bar provision seriously and will tailor drinks packages to your needs. At The Northorpe Barn you have exclusive use of our facilities. Our wedding co-ordinators are on hand to answer all questions, guide you through the process, and will be on hand on the day so you don't have to worry about a thing. What makes us a really special place is that The Northorpe Barn is part of Northorpe Hall Child & Family Trust, so all proceeds from weddings and events we host go directly to our Charity, supporting local children's mental health and emotional well-being.

We couldn’t recommend Northorpe Barn more highly.
This review won’t completely communicate just how happy we were with the first-rate service provided by the team at Northorpe Barn. We selected the venue largely because of the financial support it offers to Northorpe Hall Trust, and also because we’d first seen how beautiful the barn was at a gig back in 2017. We’re extremely pleased we selected Northorpe Barn as we feel our day couldn’t have gone any better, thanks to Caroline, Sam, and all the staff who helped the day go so smoothly. In the run up to our wedding, both Sam and Caroline were happy to answer any questions we had, and our meetings with them always made us feel reassured that everything was in hand. We were right. They handled everything from start to finish brilliantly. Leaving us to enjoy the day with family and friends. The Prep and Party prior to our wedding day was really useful, as it gave us the opportunity to set up the venue as we wanted. The lunch provided was also very tasty! The food for our wedding day was also first rate. We selected the hog roast and an evening buffet, and both meals were delicious. There was no issue catering for everyone’s dietary requirements and guests were also happy with a very well stocked bar! It was lovely to hear our guests on the day, and after, tell us how beautiful the venue was and how friendly the staff were. There’s definitely a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Northorpe Barn that I don’t think you’d find in other venues. We couldn’t recommend Northorpe Barn more highly. Thank you Sam and Caroline for helping to make our day so very special.

Just wanted to write a message to say a huge thank you for our wonderful day at Northorpe Hall Barn. Right from the beginning Sam and Caroline were incredibly well organised and ask you all the key questions, to make sure that your day goes exactly as you want it. The venue is just incredible without any additional effort! Sam and Caroline listened to us throughout and helped us add our own touches to make the already beautiful venue, even better. On the day itself, we could not have wished for the day to go any better. The team worked so hard taking care of all the details throughout the day to allow us to just enjoy the occasion to the fullest. This is a beautiful venue, part of an amazing charity that does incredible work, and managed by fabulous people. Amazing couple and gorgeous venue
Amazing couple and gorgeous venue. Kelly & Emma are just the perfect couple. They picked this gorgeous venue called Northorpe Barn which is a gorgeous little barn tucked up in Mirfield. The day went soooooo fast but these two were the best especially when it came to photos, they were up for anything which I love. When it came to speeches I dont think there was a dry eye in the room, you both have so many people around you both that care massively for you. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We love a wedding that includes a furry friend, we've had dogs attend and even a horse! The best weddings are those where the happy couple are so relaxed and happy that they throw themselves on the dancefloor at the end of the day with their families and friends, and have the time of their lives.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

There is no such thing as a daft question. Ask us absolutely anything, each wedding here is personal and different, we don't have a set way of doing things, you are all different and we will make sure you get the wedding that you want (and deserve)

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We have had everything from a Harry potter themed wedding to a carnival wedding with fairground rides in our courtyard and lots of colours in the barn. We have loved every single one! - we especially love the weddings where ceremony guests are invited to sit where they like as they are loved equally by the couple, that makes the guests feel really special.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are many, the entrance is perfect for confetti shots, (yes you can throw confetti!) our Mezzanine floor is a great place to take a big group shot from and our extensive grounds are great for drone shots of all the guests looking up together.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We couldn't say - we like to be discreet!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Tiny toad in the holes - Mini Yorkshire puddings with sausage and gravy.. yum!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Oh, by midnight our guests are on their way home, and our venue is just going dark and quiet and relaxing after a busy day. Our favourite 10pm treat might be a slice of our fabulous Pork Pie or Cheese Celebration cakes with a little dip of pickle!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We are linked with Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust and all profits that we make go directly to support the mental health and well being of local children and their families. You will have an amazing day knowing that you are supporting an amazing charity.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

You are not on a conveyor belt here, there is no 'standard' wedding and you are not part of a package. You are all different and each wedding is different - we add personality to your big day.
