Every wedding is special, and unique and one of the beautiful things about couples getting married is the coming together of two families as one and seeing each side embrace the other as their own. With many years of experience, at North Lakes Hotel we are here with help and advice to ensure your wedding goes as smoothly as possible because let’s face it, each family is unique in its own way with different families having their own quirks, history, and traditions. Whether large or small North Lakes is also the perfect location for an introduction event for families, pre-wedding celebrations, hen and stag gatherings, and mini-moons. Our Events Team will help you plan your gathering, whatever the occasion, and our Executive Chef Chris will work with you on your menu to ensure that the food is perfect.
If you are looking for a pre or post wedding gathering then we have some incredible spaces available suitable for 15 - 200, allowing you to get together no matter what the occasion with plenty of add on activities to make it a get together to remember. Our smaller spaces are linked to our gardens, offering a children's play area and outside spaces, a cinema room for watching movies complete with popcorn, sweets beanbags and comfy seating, dance floor complete with glitter ball , games room and so much more. The space is yours to decorate and use.
With 84 beautifully appointed bedrooms including family rooms with bunk beds, interconnecting rooms, dog friendly rooms and recently refurbished suites, we have plenty of choice for you and your guests to stay over. Spa access, which includes the pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, is included in all direct bookings with the hotel and we offer discounted accommodation on the first 10 bedrooms you book. We also have our treatment rooms offering a range of massages, facials, nails and pedicures. Our FYR Grill is very unique with Chef cooking your steak and fish dishes on our open grill within the restaurant itself.

Jen the wedding planner, ensured our big day was just how we wanted it! We had the Little Martindale for our ceremony and wedding breakfast - this is a lovely intimate room with fairylight clad beams, it made the perfect setting for us to get married and have our wedding breakfast in. All the food was amazing, cooked lovely and really tasty. We recently had our wedding at North Lakes Hotel and from the start of planning to the actual day we couldn’t have asked for any more. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Goodness, we have had some fabulous weddings at North Lakes - too many to pick just one out of. Every couple, and every wedding day is different - however we love helping you bring your idea's to life, in whatever form that may be. We have had crazy setups for the reception, crazy entertainment - we love it when we help couples surprise their guests - the funniest being when the Bestman "nipped out" and suddenly on the screen (pre-filmed of course) he went off and did a James Bond style trip to pick up an item the Groom had forgotten! Sounds crazy however it was the funniest thing we had seen here at North Lakes - and so well done. It was fabulous to be a part of that pre-filming -and a great tale to tell.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Talk to me - don't let the stress build up, unload on me! Talking about your plans can clear your head. I encourage you to email me even int he middle of the night - to be fair I wont reply then but it will be there for me first thing in the morning and I can get back to you.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Quirky shoes! I like traditional, beautiful wedding shoes but I like to be surprised too. And some of the Guests outfits are fabulous.

5 log fires plus an open fire grill in the FYR restaurant - October - March weddings are just beautiful in the hotel as we have all the fires going.

Our staff! We go above and beyond for our guests - and it says it all when we have a large number of our Team with 20+ years service
