From the tree-lined approach to the colonnaded entrance, The Mansion stands as one of West Yorkshire's finest historic, exclusive wedding venues. Guests would make their way through our private entrance and have use of the terrace area, with its stunning views of Roundhay Park as a backdrop. The ceremony is a centrepiece to the venue, leading to the Colonnades, with its bespoke lighting, floor to ceiling windows and natural colour pallet, offers a backdrop of understated glamour. The iconic double staircase, with glass dome and sparkling chandelier, allows for the most graceful of entrances, the perfect spot to capture those all-important photographs! Your Drinks Reception can be held outside on the terrace - the best spot in town! No celebration is complete without food and drink! Your guests will be blown away by The Mansion Room as your Wedding Breakfast setting. Guests will make their way up the grand staircase, with its large crystal chandelier twinkling in the sunlight. The modern bar gives the room a chic feel and finished with décor touches to compliment. As wedding packages don’t exist, your celebration is as individual, as you as a couple. The food and drink you decide to have for your Wedding Day has been carefully curated by our team of award winning chefs. From Champagne and picnic in the park canapés for the Drinks Reception, to an elegant and fine dining Wedding Breakfast, the choice is yours! Fun options also include Barbecue menus, grazing stations and evening bites to tempt your guests. When it’s party time, the lighting changes to fit the mood, where you and your guests can dance the night away! The Mansion Room transforms into a cool and chic evening venue, with entertainment to match the city vibe! Once you book your Wedding at The Mansion, you'll be introduced to your dedicated Event Manager who will be there throughout the run up to your wedding, helping you plan your special day. We have spectacular views across 700 acres of parkland, which makes for some amazing wedding photos! As ever your team nailed it!!! The service was excellent, you were so flexible on the ever changing goalposts, you were so accommodating and helpful knowing I was a team of one, always happy to re look at budgets to accommodate our restrictions - all in all amazing job!!!! The mansion was a beautiful venue. Jenny was brilliant working with us to make the day special during covid times. We could only have 30 people but it felt like more were there the venue is so lovely and inviting just perfect for what we wanted, couldn't have asked for more.

We knew that The Mansion was the venue for us
We knew that The Mansion was the venue for us the moment we stepped foot in the building. Already local fans of the beautiful Roundhay Park setting, we were blown away by the grand staircase and chandelier and stunning rooms, followed by a welcoming and informative tour and meeting with one of the events managers. Our assigned event manager Harriet was brilliant to work with. She understood our vision immediately and was so accomodating of our vendor choices. She took detailed notes at our menu tasting and worked with the caterers to ensure everything was perfect. She even took the time to answer last minute questions via email the night before the big day. On the day of the wedding we were able to set up with the events team well in advance and make use of private rooms to get ready in. We walked in on the events team getting their brief for the day, resembling a military operation! The team were so professional, even in the 31 degree heat that none of us had accounted for when planning! There were two small hitches to the day, both of which the team solved for us. A charity run was taking place on the morning of the wedding, where a 3 piece brass band was supporting them right outside the dressing room...Harriet worked her magic and politely got them to move away from the mansion so I didn't have a nervous breakdown! I also managed to knock my Eton Mess dessert (with bright red strawberry coulis) over my wedding dress but one of the events team swept me off to the bathroom and managed to miraculously clean me up! The day was beautiful, accompanied with incredible food. We had so many compliments of our wedding being the loveliest one our guest had ever attended. One of our guests got engaged shortly after our wedding, and we're looking forward to attending their wedding at The Mansion next year! Emma & Harry

Attention to detail was exceptional
I am emailing to thank your for making our wedding day so special. The attention to detail was amazing which made everything run smoothly, so many people commented on what a great day it was, how lovely the venue and level of service. I’d especially like to say thank you for the extra 5 minutes to allow my friends dad sing us out with My Way, it really made his day and gave us a beautiful memory to the end of our wedding day. They have all been pretty wonderful and unique in their own way; we've had themed weddings, a wedding couple who arrived in a campervan, all sorts of things!

Make sure you choose a strong event management team, so you can sit back and enjoy your day. Leave it to the professionals!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

There was one recently where the bride had sourced personalised M&Ms for the wedding favours, I really liked that one!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are so many, including the grand staircase under the chandelier, the band stand in Roundhay Park, The Alhambra Garden-but my personal favourite is in the colonnades at dusk - the light is stunning.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

The Brownlee brothers, Jonny & Alistair, Kevin & Jane Sinfield to name a few, have dined with us in The Mansion.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Tempura Prawns with Chilli dipping sauce and the Mushroom Arancini with Saffron Aioli are personal favourites.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Cheese & Biscuits with grapes, or bacon sandwiches- depends how hard I've been dancing!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The views of Roundhay Park and our crystal chandelier. You can even change the colour to match your theme.
