The Loft is a relaxed farm wedding venue located in a beautiful rural and rustic setting deep in the heart of Moray Speyside, Scotland. The rustic farm buildings offer a versatile venue for different sizes and styles of wedding full of rural charm that offers a blank canvas for you to create the wedding of your dreams, unique to you. We can cater for intimate or large weddings and as a family run business we truly understand the importance of every detail and the involvement of friends and family in planning of all aspects of your special day. As we are set on a farm with 388 acres of arable farmland we have lots of beautiful areas for photographs outside and we are also fortunate to be close to award winning beaches and forests so you will have fantastic photographic opportunities to capture your special day. Venue options can include day only weddings to extended weekend celebrations with friends and family with the exclusive use of our onsite glamping accommodation. This allows family and friends to come together and spend precious time catching up in a relaxed and welcoming environment before the wedding. We also offer you access to the venue the day before your wedding, giving you plenty of time for you to create your own dream wedding and access the following day to clear the venue meaning your wedding is relaxed as well as memorable. Perfect setting for a wedding

I had the pleasure of Photographing the Dyer wedding in September and The Loft was the perfect setting. Rustic and welcoming, there are plenty of photo opportunities for couples and their guests. The Venue owners Victoria and Grigor were very helpful and friendly. The venue overlooks miles of fields and is a short drive from the beach for couples who would like their couples portraits there (as the Dyers did). The entrance to the venue was perfect for the confetti exit of the bride and groom. Can't wait to shoot here again in the spring! Beth

They always make you feel welcome at The Loft and this wedding was no different. Superb company, good music, all night long dancing and some delicious drink what else to ask for. Couldn’t of wished for a better day!

Our wedding was held at the Loft and it was honestly better than I could of imagined. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff are just simply amazing. Neither myself or my husband could of asked for better. The day went without a single hiccup. Even an upset flower girl wasn’t a problem. Would highly recommend The Loft.

Our truly joyful and relaxed wedding :-)

We are so glad that we chose the Loft to get married at. Victoria, Sharon and all of the staff were extremely helpful and patient throughout all of the preparation, and on our wedding weekend. We had several emails and phone calls and they were always happy to help, particularly helping us to work out solutions when we hit ‘bumpy’ bits in our planning! We loved that everything was in the one place, and that our family and friends could stay at the venue for the whole weekend, giving us very precious extra time with people. The wigwams were all very comfortable, and we were even able to treat ourselves to a hot tub on our final night. The venue was fantastic for all of the children that were at our wedding, who had great fun running about and playing at the park. Several of our guests have commented that it was the most relaxed wedding they’ve been at. We also had time to go to Roseisle beach for photos and a paddle which we loved! It was absolutely exactly as we wanted, and I can’t speak highly enough of all of the staff... fabulous location, fabulous people, fabulous venue and a truly blank canvas to create your unique wedding! Thank you :-) xxx

We loved every part of our wedding day! The reason we chose The Loft was for something laid back, rustic and where we could have everything in one place on one day. The Loft provided this and more. The fact that we could have the venue the day before the wedding to set up how we wanted, and that our guests travelling from a distance could stay in the Wigwams the night before, was absolutely amazing. We had numerous meetings, phone calls and emails to make sure everything was smooth sailing... Even when one of us worried about literally everything and occasionally phoned multiple times a week. Our guests still talk about our wedding being the best they'd been to, how amazing the venue was and how relaxed it all felt. We just adored Victoria, Sharon and team.

Our amazing wedding day

We had our wedding here back in the summer of 2014. It was such an amazing day, the loft is such a stunning venue nestled in the wonderful scottish contryside. It has a wonderful atmosphere which suited ourselves and guests amazingly. Neither me or hubby are particularly taken by the strict routines and regimes of a hotel wedding (of which we have attended many) and Victoria was absolutely amazing in helping us create the most relaxed wedding day which many of our guests still compliment us on to this day. We had complete use of the whole venue for the whole day, our ceremony in the loft itself, our meal in the lovely little rustic restaurant - the food was delicious by the way - and our evening do (which was in part a ceilidh!) in the 'cowshed' which held all of our 150ish evening guests with plenty of room to spare. We even spent our wedding night in one of the sites wigwams which was brilliant in itself. All in all I haven't attended another wedding that was so wonderful before or since then and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue, the loft and all of its staff are amazing!

Best wedding EVER!

We honestly had the best day ever, all our friends and family agreed it was the best most relaxed wedding they had ever been too! They made everything so easy for us and even when an extra guest just turned up on the day they took full control and just told me to relax and not worry it wasn't a big deal! They were so fun to plan with and made so much effort on the day for us! Even in the smallest of details even when we go to the loft now after three years they make such a lovely effort to speak! So glad we chose the loft! Beautiful venue and amazing service

Describe the best wedding that happened at The Loft?

We have had many great weddings with couples choosing just what they want and one that sticks in my mind is the couple that chose to go off cue completely to the traditional food choice and went with curry & rice with everyone being surprised and delighted with the unusual and relaxed choice. The couple wanted it to be a relaxed, informal and a family affair and it was just great to be part of such a laid back feel good wedding. The couple then also enjoyed another family gathering the day following the wedding with a 3rd night add on to the venue hire and had their own mini-music festival.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Always visit a few 'different' kinds of venues to make sure you really know what you are looking for what you want, and when you get that feeling in your heart and a tingle in your toes then you know its right for you!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We had a bride who was obsessed with Highland cows and unbeknown to the bride her mother had secretly arranged for a highland calf to be onsite after the ceremony. The happy couple went off to have some wedding pictures done and were totally shocked and surprised to see the calf, I can honestly say the look on the brides face was one of utter elation and was truly worth a thousand words.

We have quite a few different areas to choose from but my personal favourite is by the old mill water wheel or in our woodland.

What is The Loft most unique feature?

We allow time for the couple to create their wedding with family and friends in a relaxed way, with access to the venue the day before for a full day of wedding dressing creation and access the following day for venue clear by couples and suppliers. We can also include a two or three night hire of our glamping accommodation which means that friends and family can travel from far and wide and all get together the night before or the night after the wedding for a BBQ or just a chill out catch up time together.
