The Lodore Falls Hotel

In late 2023, my fiancée and I decided to get married and have a non-religious service in the Lake District as we had holidayed there several times and loved the scenery and general vibe. Over the course of a few weeks, we drew up a shortlist of potential venues and left home in South West London to check them out. The first location we visited was The Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa. The lovely greeting we received from the wedding team, along with the tour of the potential function rooms, bridal suites and beautiful hotel grounds led us to confirm a date there and then, and not even bother checking out the other locations on the shortlist, knowing that the venue and location were absolutely perfect for what we wanted. From that first day until our wedding day in September 2024, the ongoing communication with the team was incredible - with just that perfect level of professionalism and friendliness. The flexibility of being able to bring some of our own food and beverage, plus booking separate rooms for the bride and groom on the day before the wedding and then moving rooms during the wedding day (all done by the in-house team), made life very easy for us. The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect, and not just because of the mini heatwave experienced in the area that week! The room design, plus food and bar service were exceptional - and that’s from a very picky groom who works in events management. The amazing weather meant being able to have an outdoor ceremony next to the pagoda in the grounds of the hotel, overlooking Derwent Water, which added to the magic. We genuinely couldn’t have dreamt of a better day.

The girls at Lodore were fab from the get go, from the showing of the venue right till the end of the wedding night. Nothing was too much hassle, from the run up to the running of the day everything was just so smooth and stress free. The venue was beautiful, food was delicious and all the staff are very friendly. Can not recommend Lodore enough.

The staff at the Lodore Falls could simply not do enough for us. Our wedding day turned into a wedding weekend which was made all the more special thanks to the staff. From serving us drinks long into the night on Friday to helping us pack up and have an area just for us at Breakfast on Sunday - no stone was left unturned. As for the wedding day itself, it went like clockwork! Michaela, Monique and the team kept us informed and up to date the entire day, seamlessly moving around un-noticed but being there when we needed them! Every task was completed and we simply could not fault them. The spa facilities we had access to were phenomenal, the whole family enjoyed them so much and it was the perfect way to relax the day before and the day after the wedding! Many family and friends who didn’t use them are planning a relaxing weekend of their own! The Lodore already holds a special place in our hearts but now it is a special place for all our loved ones too. We will be sure to return in the not so distant future!

From start to finish, the wedding team at Lodore were at hand to answer any questions we had, they were very supportive on the day and helped to put us at ease. Everything goes so quickly and they ensured the smooth running of the day and all the staff were very welcoming to us and all of our guests. We look forward to spending time at the hotel and spa in the future! 5* x’

Sending a huge thank you to all of the staff that contributed towards my daughter Clare's wedding day. The setting of the hotel is absolutely stunning, staff could not be more helpful & wedding meal was outstanding. We are planning our next visit when the spa opens later in the year!
