It also features The Courtyard bar and restaurant, three function and conference rooms and an outdoor roof terrace. At the heart of The Lawrence is the wedding space which holds up to 80 in the day and 130 at night.
The 19th century hotel was renovated in 2018. After extensive work, the hotel offers a bespoke experience for guests, created with a luxury yet timeless style giving guests a space to relax and unwind. The design-led boutique hotel was inspired by some of the leading hotels in the world, but in keeping with features of the original building, with luxurious roll top baths, classic subway tiles in the bathrooms, Victorian tiled floors and beautiful sash windows

We booked our wedding back in 2021 with Michael, who was absolutely amazing, he went through everything with us, his words was “it will come round so quick” little did we know it actually did, the build up to the wedding and along the way we met Alison & nadine the wedding coordinators who both was also amazing, kept us reassured about the order of the day and how they’ll be at the wedding to ensure everything runs smoothly, the ladies and josh (the manager) really was the ones who got us through it all, I would definitely recommend getting married at the Lawrence, the venue it’s self is stunning, and having kind, hard working staff is even better!
The day of our wedding really was one of the best days of our life’s, big thank you to all staff we will be forever grateful for everything they’ve done.

We got married here and had a wonderful time. Staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again. Loved it !

“I had the best day”
My daughter had her wedding here on Good Friday. It is the perfect venue for a smaller wedding. We had 40 guests during the day and a few more joined at night. The hotel is lovely. We stayed the night before and had a family meal. Food is fabulous. Rooms are comfortable and there is a guest kitchen area if you want to have a simple breakfast or put anything in the fridge eg champagne for the bridal party while we were getting ready!

The Lawrence Hotel is a really beautiful place to stay. We have literally found a “ little gem “ . Michael and his staff are simply wonderful, not only respectful towards us they actually cared that we, me and my husband and our friends enjoyed our stay. The rooms are immaculate, the food delicious.
Tony and I renewed our vows here at The Lawrence on 12th February. It was such an amazing day/evening and we thoroughly recommend this beautiful venue for forthcoming celebrations.
