Describe the best wedding that happened at The John Godber Centre?
We love all wedding receptions we host but the personal touches make the day truly unique, we never see a wedding thats the same and that's what we love about our blank canvas rooms!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Assign someone to cut your cake during the reception, or ask your caterers to include this with your catering.
Often the cake is still left at the end of reception so we always mention this to couples (its a lot of cake to eat just for the two of you!)
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I love seeing all the personal touches and how creative people can be.
Where’s the best photo spot at The John Godber Centre?
Our staircase is great for photos with loved ones but there's also a lovely spot, oddly by our bin store overlooking the churchyard, there's a lovely cluster of wild flowers there/
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at The John Godber Centre?
A few famous comedians and David Essex was once in our bar.
What is The John Godber Centre most unique feature?
Our blank canvas rooms and that you can provide everything yourselves
The romantic poet Lord Byron is buried in the Church next door.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our feedback and our recent refurbishments
