The garden gazebo is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and with the backdrop of the lake, it is the most idyllic setting to say your vows.
We offer the finest cuisine in our Lake View Restaurant which can accommodate 100 people.
With its spectacular setting on the shore of Ullswater, the Inn on the Lake is ideal for your wedding photographs from the private lakeshore with three jetties to the luxurious, newly refurbished Lake View lounges and restaurant as well as a brand new landscaped terrace over looking the lake.

We both left the venue feeling so excited because we knew that this is exactly where we wanted to marry each other. We had the most wonderful day
We had the most wonderful day on Monday. The staff and venue were an absolute dream. Everyone did such an amazing job and thank you for making our day even more special. The service was so intimate and better than we could have hoped for.
Every single guest commented on the amazing quality of the delicious food and everyone's professionalism and kindness. Both us and the guests had the best day ever. I honestly didn't stop smiling all day. We will always hold fond memories forever.

Every wedding here is amazing and unique, we couldn't possibly choose one!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
There are so many tips, but one important thing to remember is that it is your wedding day about the two of you. Try not to get overwhelmed by other people's opinions and enjoy the planning process. It will all be worth it in the end!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Personalized handmade favours always stand out to me.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
It's so hard to choose just one because there are lots of beautiful photo opportunities across our landscaped grounds, however we find that our 3 private jetties that extend onto Ullswater lake attract most couples. Another personal favourite photo spot of ours is next to the reflection pool. You get the lake and mountains behind, but get a reflection of the couple in the pool - it's really quite magic and unique to our venue.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We absolutely have, from famous Hollywood actors to Grammy award-winning singers and Olympic athletes to sports stars.
What’s your favourite canapé?
All of our canapes are incredible, however our Cumbrian Chipolatas cooked in wholegrain mustard & honey really do showcase how delicious our local cuisine is!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Without a doubt a it has to be a sweetie buffet for adults. There's nothing better than having a little bag of sweets to take home.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our lake shore location with a breath-taking view and 3 private jetties. There aren't many other UK venues surrounded by mountains where you can say 'I do' only metres away from a gorgeous lake.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are most proud of our incredible wedding team and staff who go above and beyond to provide you with personal levels of service. It's not only the stunning location that will make your day memorable, but all our friendly team members will provide a service to be remembered also.
