Disappointed venue viewing.
We booked a wedding viewing at The Hurt Arms at Ambergate with Nikita at a time and date suggested by her 25/02/23 at 11am. At no point during our correspondence were we told the appointment would be a quick show around due to a wedding the previous day! The speed she showed us around was ridiculously fast. The room was full of wedding presents and other items from the night before, including a pushchair with stuff piled up on it (I wouldn’t want strangers in a room where my gifts are in case they went missing!). My daughter was wandering round the room taking photos whilst we listened, therefore someone else could easily have taken something. We were then rushed into the bar area where we sat down and went through menus and discussed what we wanted. However we felt we didn’t have time to discuss between us which options we wanted as she suggested choices, which felt to us that she was trying to hurry onto the next bit (whereas other venues have talked us through it and told us not to rush and it can be changed later). Nikita said she would get the quote sent out to us by the end of the day (it’s now 7/3/23 and we still haven’t received it). We left and immediately looked at the time as we were shocked how quick and impersonal it was, a total of 20minutes and that is the truth! We haven’t contacted her for our quote because we definitely wouldn’t want that service for the rest of our wedding planning or our wedding day. Each venue we’ve visited have given us their time and shown us the venue when they don’t have someone else’s wedding belongings around. Our last venue viewing was almost 2hrs and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We all felt Nikita was very unprofessional and wouldn’t want her looking after our wedding. Not only did she show us around really quickly, she took us into a room with wedding presents and belongings that is someone else’s from their dream day. She failed to deliver the quote, so the trust was already broken. We have gone with a more expensive venue who have a very good reputation of hosting weddings. We know we will be looked after here. Just think about your dream day ladies and how much you have saved to have it just the way you want it. We knew instantly by the way we were treated at our initial viewing that this was the one, when you know, you know. Don’t settle for second best.

Loved Every Second
We had our wedding here and loved every second if it! Planning was made so easy by their team of wedding coordinators and their wedding showcases really help us visualise our day. On the day, the team were so helpful. Everything was so well organised that it allowed us to enjoy our day without being bother for information. The food was so good and everyone had a great time. I would recommend this venue to everyone.
