Hoteliers pay attention - this is how to do it properly. The epitome of a successful family-run, country house hotel. Kind, friendly and engaging people everywhere - front of house, waiting staff, chefs, gardeners and even the handyman! We had a supremely comfortable [Orchard] room down the garden, with plenty of space, a great bed and a bathroom with a powerful shower. There's a hidden indoor pool in the lovely garden, which you reserve and have all to yourself (bliss). Vegetable beds for fresh produce and a beautiful Victorian greenhouse. Plenty of parking. Best of all, a short walk through the woods behind the garden brings you to a path overlooking Cromer beach - from there, only 15 minutes to the pier and the town. Delicious food from an interesting menu. What more could you ask for ? Nothing.

I was very happy staying at The Grove, and intend to return some time The Good: Beautiful period property, with equally beautiful grounds which I enjoyed (and the walk through the woods to the sea). I enjoyed the use of the sitting room- I felt relaxed and comfortable in the shared spaces. Delicious breakfast with very good selection of food- and I very much enjoyed dinner too: well presented and cooked, good quality ingredients. Lovely room - and friendly, helpful staff.

A perfect wedding night away
A perfect wedding night away The Good: We chose this place for our wedding night as we wanted something a little special. Staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Accommodation was great and clean with underfloor heating, multiple choices of teas and coffee, a cafetiere and bathroom accessories. The places outside looked beautiful lit up at night.

A wonderful family celebration We had a wonderful time here, celebrating my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary here. There was 10 of us and so we stayed in the self catering cottages: the Barn and the Stables next door. The kids loved the use of the pool. We had a fantastic dinner at the hotel restaurant (the waiting staff and the food was brilliant). The location is no more than a 10min walk to the beach, which was fantastic for us as we had small children with us. We will most definitely be visiting again. Thank you

Myself and my wife got Married at the Grove and it was nothing short of spectacular. The venue is homely and welcoming and has so much character. The staff really couldn’t do enough for you. I want to personally thank Roxanne for all of the help for the planning of the wedding and for being incredible on the day. Also Richard for the fantastic hospitality and chats. The day really couldn’t have went any better and we will be have a little piece of the grove in our hearts forever. We plan to visit again for a weekend away in the near future.
