Describe The Elvetham in 5 adjectives
The Elvetham inspires a sense of wonder, artful majesty, legacy and heritage
Where’s the best photo spot at The Elvetham?
We encourage all of our couples to explore the grounds and the estate to find the best spots for them! The Irish Yew trees are perhaps the most iconic image of a wedding at The Elvetham but we find it impossible to chose just one, when we asked the team they all had different spots: The Orchard - a recent edition, Stairwell - the stained glass is magical, The bridge - spectacular at golden hour.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at The Elvetham?
With our long history we have had a fair few notable visitors, the list includes royalty like King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I and some more modern editions being Ruth and Eamonn Holmes getting married with us in 2010. We are also a popular filming location for various films and tv shows, perhaps you can spot us in some of your favourite shows this year.
What’s your favourite canapé?
We love our chefs goat’s cheese and onion marmalade on crispy toast as a vegetarian option and for the meat lovers roast beef with mustard on brioche
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our wonderful team! We always receive great feedback, whether reception, sales, F&B or operations - we all love working at The Elvetham!
