The Coppermines Mountain Wedding Venue is a beautiful, unique & incredible setting for any wedding With magnificent views to the Coniston mountains above & Coniston Water in the valley below, our unique & exclusive venue is set amongst bubbling becks, thundering waterfalls and rugged crags. What’s more, our heritage waterwheel creates an iconic silhouette against the landscape, contributing to the distinctive atmosphere of this exceptional location. What we have here is pretty special. The venue is situated within a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and to top it all off sits in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Coppermines Mountain Wedding Venue is a family owned wedding venue in the English Lake District and we are proud to welcome couples year upon year to celebrate their incredible day. Set in the heart of the majestic Coppermines Valley our venue is licensed for both civil ceremonies and civil partnerships in our Copper Wedding Barn (seating up to 120 guests) and we have been holding weddings here since 2004. From arrival, the venue is exclusively yours and you have the freedom to decide how you wish your celebration to unfold. There are no set timetables and your occasion can be as unique as desired. We can guarantee that no two weddings held at The Coppermines are ever the same. Given the unique setting, the Coppermines Valley offers a beautiful backdrop whatever the season and provides numerous outdoor opportunities for wedding photographs. The venue features four warm & welcoming cottages which interlink to form one large house, sleeping up to 22 people, with further accommodation available nearby. There’s four reception rooms, 10 en-suite bedrooms and even four outdoor hot tubs for your private use.

It was more than we could have ever dreamed of. Everyone commented on how incredible the venue was and the view was spectacular! The cottages were all super clean and fully stocked with everything we needed for a self-sufficient weekend. Phil and his team were always on hand for any questions we had and were also super accommodating with all of our asks. WWe recently stayed at the Mountain Cottages, Bridge Suite, Fellside Cottage and Slater Bobs, for our wedding which took place on 8 June 2024. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of. Everyone commented on how incredible the venue was and the view was spectacular! The cottages were all super clean and fully stocked with everything we needed for a self-sufficient weekend. What a venue and what an experience!There are Wedding Venues and then there are Coppermines Mountain Weddings at Coniston! I had my own team of Sherpas to get me halfway up the mountain for Heather and Anthony's Wedding Day. Brackens Of Bowness had done a simply stunning job of decorating the Tipis and I cannot wait to see the pictures my old pal Eftal from Ladybirds Photography took on the day. A big shout out to David from Blue Bird Tours who ferried me up to the Coppermines and back again.There are Wedding Venues and then there are Coppermines Mountain Weddings at Coniston! Everyone from Coppermines were so quick to respond to emails and queries we could arrange the day exactly as we wanted it but with knowledge and help with what will and won’t work. It was such a brilliant experience to be able to organise all our own details and stay with our families all weekend. In fact we went up a bit earlier and stayed in the fellside cottage from Wednesday before the wedding. I would 100% recommend! Thank you coppermines for the best day of our lives.
