The experience begins with a drinks reception where guests can mingle freely throughout The Carriage Rooms and surrounding grounds. In The Walled Garden, think lawn games and Pimms in hand, while indoors enjoy the incredible vistas from every room. The Grade B-listed building houses our beautiful banquet hall which has been fully restored to keep its original stone walls and wooden beams while impeccably including the latest technology creating a bright and spacious room. After the wedding breakfast, guests will move downstairs into The Sawmill function room which boasts a sprung dance floor, bar facilities, generous seating, and atmospheric lighting - everything you need to 'Wow' your guests as you party late into the night! A quieter inter-connecting lounge area adds to this graceful setting, while an outside terrace with awning and gas fire creates a relaxed party atmosphere. The Carriage Rooms is fully licensed for religious or civil ceremonies, as well as civil partnerships, providing a unique and intimate wedding venue which radiates an ambience of relaxed comfort. Your wedding ceremony can be conducted on-site, with the option of an outdoor ceremony in the romantic surroundings of The Walled Garden, or an indoor ceremony in The Sawmill, with its distinctive stone walls and illuminated arches.
