Describe the best wedding that happened at The Barn on The Bay?
Oh, so many to mention! Some couples really stay in your thoughts, Rachel & Kyle are one of those couples. Kyle brought Rachel to stay on the farm before we even did weddings for their first camping date. When they got engaged they chose us as the obvious choice for their wedding. They had a boho festival weekend and personalised the venue so much. They still come to visit, as do many of our other couples, and have a drink in our bar.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be scared of having an outdoor wedding in the UK, our beaches are some of the best in the world here in Northumberland and on a sunny day you could think you're anywhere in the world! As long as you have an adequate rain plan and a flexible venue team it'll be worth it.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We love it when couples get their pets involved! Your dog should be part of your ceremony, but we do expect to see them in a cute outfit!! If you don't have a dog you can borrow one of our alpacas, they love a good wedding.
