The perfect venue for our wedding
The planning: Natalie made everything so easy when we were planning, she was always on hand to answer any questions we had and regularly kept in touch from start to finish. Natalie was very open and honest about what we’d need and advised us on ways to keep costs down without it impacting our day. The venue: The building really has the wow factor after the recent refurb, looking extremely fresh and modern without losing that countryside pub feel and charm. The whole place is spotless throughout and the outside seating was an added bonus! We used their recommended supplier Bronte Bespoke Events for ceremony and table decorations and the room was absolutely breathtaking. The food: The meals went down a treat, huge portions and the quality was second to none, which is not unexpected considering the meals we’ve had there previously. Our guests have all mentioned how good the food was when we’ve seen them since the wedding! We still have no idea how they served food of that quality to 51 people at once, everything was freshly cooked and hot, and they went above and beyond by serving special vegan and gluten free meals as well. The staff: This is where The Tempest really shines, their team worked so efficiently to get the food out to everyone and keeping drinks flowing, we never saw that bar empty that day, but you weren’t queuing for long! Every member of staff looked happy, energetic, and we can’t fault them for one second. We have to add a special mention for Lyndsay in particular, who took over as our wedding planner for the day as Natalie was on holiday. Lyndsay was so attentive, making sure we were having the perfect day, and she organized everything flawlessly. She told us in the morning that we may have to bear with her as she isn’t an events coordinator, perhaps it’s time for a career change as you’d have thought she’d been doing it for years! The rooms: The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, and comfortable, everyone had a good night’s sleep and we’ll definitely be returning to stop over again, even though we only live 20 minutes away! If I could do our wedding again I wouldn’t change a thing. The Tempest Arms, Natalie, Lyndsay, and all of the staff made the day better than we ever could have imagined. Certainly a day we’ll never forget and a venue we’ll be returning to for years to come.

What a wonderful place!
What a wonderful place! Amazing food and staff. I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here and it was just lovely. The weather wasn't the best but that didn't stop the bride braving the elements.

You made planning the wedding a total dream
The Tempest Arms was our wedding venue in November and it couldn't have been more perfect. From initial enquiry to leaving the day after the wedding, every staff member we've dealt with was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in making our event the best it could be. We chose to get married at The Tempest Arms firstly because of how friendly, relaxed and charming the whole place is and secondly because they serve the best chocolate brownie in the whole of England. Honestly it is worth visiting just for the amazing food even if you're not looking for a wedding venue or hotel! I have to say a huge thank you to Natalie, you are beyond incredible at your job and absolutely made for your role. You made planning the wedding a total dream and it meant so much that you were a big part if it. All our guests said how wonderful the whole venue was from the ceremony room to the bar, to the food and the bedrooms and they all can't wait to visit again for a meal or an overnight stay. It was the perfect venue and couldn't have been more us if it tried. We were able to have a relaxed and fun wedding that was country and rural while being easily accessible for all topped off with Natalie always there and jumping in to help wherever and whenever needed. You made our dream a reality and made it easy and enjoyable to bring to life too. Everyone told me it would be too stressful to plan a wedding in six months but you helped me prove them all wrong! We can't thank the staff enough for making our wedding the huge success it was, we'll be back for more brownie soon! Lots of love Mr and Mrs C xxx
