An incredibly special place, Stanbrook Abbey offers atmospheric ceremony rooms, boutique interiors, glorious gardens, an orchard and bell tower and enchanting lake. From the Callow Great Hall to the East Room, every room is beautiful and unique and works seamlessly with the sensational outside space to provide a fabulous backdrop to your special celebration.
After years as a closed order convent, Stanbrook Abbey is now open following an extensive and sympathetic refurbishment which has restored it to its former splendour. Constructed of red brick with stone dressings and gothic windows, its interiors are mesmerising from the beauty of the Callow Great Hall with its lofty vaulted ceiling and vivid stained glass windows to the fabulous East Room with its finely tuned grand piano which takes centre stage in the spacious room.
The grounds at Stanbrook will really enhance the atmosphere on your special day. From the beautiful, lavender- filled, butterfly garden, weeping willow trail and private lake to spectacular vistas of stunning landscape and rolling countryside, the external space will impress guests and offer countless opportunities for picture perfect photos and romantic moments.
For last minute pampering on the big day, brides are invited to use the stunning Manor House. With spectacular views from every window, it is a relaxing space with every luxurious comfort to make the bride’s last moments with her attendants very special before she makes a dramatic entrance to the spectacular chapel through her own private cloister.
And it’s not just the bride who has a space of her own. In addition to the extensive luxury accommodation for guests, there is Papa’s Snug which is a refuge for the Father of the Bride to perfect his speech and a Groom’s Room for the boys to also prepare for their big moment.
