Sissons Barn

Sissons barn is the most beautiful and peaceful venue, we had such a lovely relaxed day. Right from the first booking Ben and Laura have been amazing, with booking pre pandemic and all the date changes to do with it they couldn't of done more. Then after the loss of my brother 2 months before our date last year they couldn't off been more supportive and understanding and letting me take my time and change the date to when we felt ready and helping me feel excited and bringing the joy back. The day and run up was so well organised even with my time guesses lol. We had the most amazing day and they made sure it all ran smoothly and nothing was to much trouble. Scarlett is also a treasure she is amazing and would do anything to help, even understanding how important one pumpkin was to us. We really picked the best place and with the best people

Ben, Laura and their team were absolutely incredible throughout the whole process. From the initial meeting and viewing the venue, Ben was so warm and welcoming and the barn…we just fell in love. The barn is set in beautifully maintained grounds with the characteristics and charm of a traditional barn yet modernised. Nothing was ever too much trouble, communication was excellent and there really aren’t enough words to describe the care and support we received. You will be in very safe hands with this family run business and they will always have a special place in our hearts; our day wouldn’t have been what it was without their planning and dedication. We cannot recommend Sissons Barn and the team highly enough.

This venue is so beautiful and romantic it captured our wedding day just the way we envisioned it. We instantly feel in love with the venue when visiting on an open day and automatically knew it was the one. Ben and Laura make it so special together as husband and wife and both have an understanding of the milestone of a day it is. Throughout the preparation towards the big day and the day itself they were so supportive of all the questions we had and just made the day perfect for us. We couldn’t have picked a better venue! The added extras of a tractor ride away for some personal photos and having an engraved copper leaf to put amongst the other married couples leafs on the metal trees was some of the sweetest unique touches the venue provides. It was honestly perfect and a dream come true.

Our wedding day was that good we want to do it all over again! Ben, Laura, Scarlett and all the suppliers we used were fantastic! We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day!

From the first contact until the wedding day itself… Sissons barn were absolutely amazing! It would be an understatement to say they were helpful. The sheer level of detail the Sissons team, particularly Ben, Laura & Scarlett put into making the day exactly what we wanted was fantastic. They executed our vision extremely accurately, the day before we dressed one table and they nailed the rest of them, this included communicating well with other professionals we had hired.

We had such a lovely day at this beautiful venue, was definitely worth all the preparation and planning and Ben and Laura helped to make sure we throughly enjoyed our day from start to finish. Loved that we were able to enjoy our ceremony and reception all in one place which meant less traveling time and more time being able to enjoy our special day. I would definitely recommend to those still looking for their perfect wedding venue

Absolutely stunning wedding venue! We booked our venue in the middle of all the covid lockdowns but we were still able to do the viewing virtually which meant no time was lost and when we went to see it for the first time in person, well the barn speaks for itself and is simply beautiful. Its sat in such a idyllic setting with incredibly cared for gardens and surroundings. There is nothing else like it in the area. It was full of character but gave us a beautiful backdrop to make our wedding day special and unique to us. There was so many little quirks throughout including the forge, the willow room and the tractor ride with the cows which made it stand out from the rest. Ben was really down to earth and easy to get along with and this made for a really relaxed atmosphere on the day. The team made us feel so welcome and we knew everything was in good hands and we had nothing to worry about. Ben and the team are so passionate about what they do and the attention to detail is second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and they even got in a bottle of our favourite gin for us which was a lovely touch. Communication leading up to the day was great, quick responses on emails and a good old pep talk when we needed one. There were lots of questionnaires to fill out which really helped you when planning the running of the day. We also attended the wine tasting night, a few months before a wedding and this really was great. We did learn something about the wine including which ones to have on the day and it really put us in the 'wedding mood'. It was nice to be able to chat with other couples on the night who were going through the same journey as we were. We were really made to feel special and we feel lucky to have had our wedding in such a beautiful venue, with a great team. A huge Thankyou to Ben, Laura, Scarlett and everyone on the team, we would highly recommend Sissons Barn!!

I cannot thank the team at Sissons enough for hosting our perfect day. After viewing a few venues we came to Sissons a bit deflated but that soon changed… the venue itself is stunning, the team have worked so hard on all the small touches to create a barn as charming and full of character as its surroundings. Ben, Laura and Scarlett were also a huge reason we chose Sissons, they are down to earth, professional, knowledgeable and just generally delights to be around, it was just like having extra guests at our wedding! The team went above and beyond to take all of the stress off us from our very first consultation, the wine tasting night to after the wedding. Honestly, I could not fault the venue, team, service or support at all. Thank you Sissons Barn, can we do it all over again?!?
