Pynes House

Our guests were blown away by Pynes House, it was so lovely on the day to hear their overwhelmingly positive experiences of staff and the surroundings. Everyone in the team worked exceptionally hard to bring our vision to life. Many of our friends have spoken about stressful they found the process of planning their wedding. But my husband and I felt totally supported by the whole team at Pynes, through every step of planning to the day itself. Jay the drinks manager was so helpful and accommodating with our bespoke requests. The team at Pickle Shack created an outstanding menu and the service was fantastic. We must also mention Phoebe from Pynes House, who made us feel some welcome and whose timeline for the day meant that we didn't feel like we needed to oversee anything.

We had the best weekend at Pynes House for our November wedding. Communication from Kate & Heather was excellent and it really was a stress-free process. Phoebe (events manager on the day) was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The house and grounds are beautiful and we felt so at home during our stay. Honestly could not fault the venue. We feel so lucky to have had our special day at Pynes.

We got married at Pynes House in September 2023. From the moment we saw Pynes House we knew it was perfect. An idyllic setting, a smooth operation and the kindest of owners, bar staff and coordinators. No question was a hassle and we felt in safe hands. I honestly can’t thank the team at Pynes House enough for giving us the most memorable wedding day.

We booked Pynes House as our wedding venue without having visited, so that made it all the more sweeter when we showed up and it felt like we walked into a fairy tale. The house is spectacular and the grounds were absolutely beautiful with the colorful gardens and the rolling hills in the background. We had an amazing sunny day one night and a rainy day another night, but regardless of the weather conditions, the venue's charm shone through. It was also incredibly fun to have our closest friends and family staying under one roof for the entire weekend. We couldn't imagine a better venue and location and we're so happy we chose it sight unseen! Our assigned day-of planner, Natalie, was amazing, too. We talked through our vision with her, and when the weekend arrived, she executed it perfectly. We didn't have to worry about anything, which allowed us to fully enjoy our weekend. Thank you to Pynes House for giving us some of our best memories! We hope to get back some day.

Not only was the value the most beautiful place we had ever seen. My wife-to-be ended up having emergency heart surgery the day of our flight to the UK for our wedding. We had to cancel last minute. Instead of punishing us, the whole team graciously postponed our wedding so that we could celebrate at a later date. Beautiful venue. First class hosts.

There is not enough good I can say about Pynes House, its staff, or the people who own it. Not only is it the most beautiful and magical place you'll come across, it's run and managed by the kindest people. If you can believe it, it's even better in person than in any photo. My husband and I went through a lot to finally have our wedding here. We live in the US, and I thought planning a wedding overseas would be extremely challenging to begin with, but Pynes House always had amazing recommendations, helpful tips, and did everything they could personally to support us. We were supposed to get married in July 2022, but the week we were set to fly out for our wedding I had to have emergency open heart surgery and our wedding was cancelled on extremely short notice. Not only did Pynes House express sympathy and understanding, they worked tirelessly with us to finally make our wedding happen this past June. They were kind, caring, incredible. Phoebe never left my side and made me feel like I was there with a best friend. If you want an incredibly beautiful place, arguably one of the most beautiful places on Earth, to get married - this is it. (The rooms all thoughtful and stunning, views, gardens, fountain - it's magic and a fairytale). If you want a venue run by people who care about you and your life and your day - there isn't anywhere better. We will always be thankful <3

We got married back in May 2023, I had originally viewed Pynes house back in 2019 when my sister had got engaged and was looking for a venue. I instantly fell in love and knew from that moment that is where I’d get married in years to come. Fast forward to 2021, engaged and our turn to wedding plan, we only viewed 2 other venues as I knew deep down where we wanted to get married, that being Pynes. The most beautiful, breathtaking venue and even to this day so many of our guests always talk about it. I could not fault Kate & Phoebe throughout, and on the day everything went perfectly.

The venue, the rooms, the team, the suppliers, our wedding coordinator - all perfection. On the final day we walked the venue sharing our fondest moments with tears rolling down our faces. Pynes made our dream wedding come true and we wish we could do it again every year !

Pynes house really was our dream venue and it exceeded all expectations on the day! The epic driveway and grandeur is only the start of how amazing it is. The whole venue is ran impeccably and the wedding coordinator you’re assigned will be the best of the best, ours certainly was! Couldn’t have had a more special day.

We had a beautiful spring wedding at Pynes House. The decor is elegant and very in keeping with the period of the building. The staff were all friendly and helpful particularly our on the day manager Natalie and the Bar manager, Jay. Strongly recommend Pynes if you’re looking for a venue near Exeter.
