Since a little girl, I have always dreamt of having my wedding day at Port Lympne, so no other venue was ever going to come close.
When we went to view Port Lympne, I knew instantly that the Pagola and Orangery had to be where the wedding took place and with the exceptional help from Annie and Ceyda, the whole journey was made easy. They kept us informed from start to finish and provided the best advise.
The day before the wedding, we were welcomed and made to feel like their priority (even though they would have been busy with other work) which made the evening more relaxing. The day of, again we were made to feel the same and I loved that they checked in every now and then whilst getting ready. The breakfast hampers were incredible too!
Even though the team were around a lot, they done well to also fade into the background. Our day was just truly magical and our guests expressed how blown away they were from the detail that was put into the venue areas.
Whilst going for our formal photos, people who were there for the reverse, kept their distance to make sure they didn’t get in the way, yet congratulating us along the way. I truly felt like a princess!
The three course meal was just phenomenal and the drinks just kept on flowing, a win from the guests! We then went on the Safari which again, added to making the day magical and the guests were having a whale of a time. As it was a hot day, the Safari was a great way to cool down and take a moment to reflect on the days events so far. I would recommend guests bringing something to cover their shoulders if they feel the cold more than others, but as the day was warm, we didn’t have this issue.
The reception, again, just amazing. Outside games were provided which was a huge hit and the sun setting on the Orangery looked stunning. When it was time to admit the day was over, the manager who was looking after the night, was so lovely and had a good old chat with my Husband reflecting on military life, and was kind to buggy us back up to the Hotel.
The Bridal suite is a lovely room, however the green bathroom was not to our taste… it’s clearly the original bathroom.
The next morning, the team were ever so helpful with gathering our belongings from the night before, even though a wedding was about to take place and the breakfast was lovely too. It was sad to leave and say goodbye to the team as 18 months of planning, was gone in a blink of an eye.
We would relive our special day over and over again if we could and all thanks to the team at Port Lympne.
You will not regret choosing Port Lympne, and quite honestly worth every single penny.
