This is a strange review as we didn't actually end up getting married at Oldwalls due to Covid. However, we feel the Oldwalls team deserve recognition for the manner in which they have handled the entire pandemic. We booked our wedding 2 years in advance. The first year was straightforward, they get back to queries quickly, we visited the venue umpteen times where we were offered free drinks each time. The wedding planning process is very well explained. The food tasting is out of this world - do not eat that day at all!
Then Covid hit in March and we were due to get married in October. We were consistently kept in the loop regarding the ever changing situation. 2 months before our wedding date, my partner and I decided to confirm a reduced wedding with Oldwalls. Their patience and understanding was second to none. 3 weeks before our wedding date, we went into Local lockdowns and the situation changed to ceremony only which they were happy to accommodate and five days before the wedding, the Welsh lockdown meant our wedding could not go ahead at all. Oldwalls contacted us immediately to discuss. Not only did they try to accommodate us by moving our day forward, they had spoken to the registrar on our behalf and had gathered all the facts to ensure it could go ahead early before offering us the option. Unfortunately my other half and I decided not to plan in another date as we can't plan what we would want as our wedding. Oldwalls have graciously handled the entire refund process with no added stress or drama. Throughout the whole process there has been no pressure to move our wedding, all of the team we have spoken to have been nothing except supporting and sympathetic and it is with this in mind that even though they didn't host our wedding I would encourage anyone thinking of booking here to not think twice - they will deliver your dream day!
