Built in 1900, the historic building exudes timeless class and elegance. The grounds of the hotel make the perfect backdrop for your big day, its exclusive hire ensuring you get the most out of every exquisite location.
Facilities and Capacity
Nunsmere Hall Hotel stands out for its magnificent surroundings, the lake, parkland, and Italian sunken gardens, all providing dreamy locations for your wedding photography. Licenced for civil ceremonies and civil marriages, the grand house is a wonderful place to say your vows before the evening celebrations. Alternatively, you can host an outdoor ceremony in the pristine gardens for a most tranquil affair. Afterwards, a number of magnetic dining rooms lie open for your wedding breakfast. Aside from being a popular ceremony option, the Crystal Suite is an exceptionally elegant setting for a seated meal of 80 guests. Here, beneath an intricately carved ceiling, your loved ones can soak in the views and the joy of your official union. For larger weddings, the Brocklebank features a pleasing neutral palette and classic chandeliers with space for up to 100 guests. Meanwhile, multicultural weddings and lavish receptions will find pride of place in the brand new marquee. Accommodating up to 400 guests, this lakeside setting features a glamorous starlit ceiling, mood lighting, and a private bar.

At Nunsmere Hall Hotel, the experienced in-house wedding coordinators will be present throughout your booking, lending any expertise you may require. There are a number of wedding packages to choose from, which can be tailored to your guest list and beloved desired details. A dry hire option is also available, allowing you to best meet the cultural and religious requirements of your special event. For the ultimate romantic experience, exclusive hire may include overnight accommodation for overnight guests, entailing 28 double bedrooms and 8 individually-designed suites.

I was so surprised at all the added extras and lengths the staff went to for our family and friends to make everything run smoothly. The night manager even brought us tea and toast up to bed in the early hours after the party had ended, we couldn’t thanks Nunsmere staff enough for making our dreams come true and as our guests said the best wedding they’ve ever been to!! - NNikhita06/04/2024AVOID- made our day so difficultAVOID- made our day so difficult*AVOID for a wedding* especially larger Indian weddings and *do not use the hotel bedrooms*. Terrible experience for our wedding in Aug 2023 and we wrote to the hotel management and were promised a reply but then nothing came. 8 months later and I’d rather warn couples DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. It was really awful from a hotel management perspective. Here are the main issues we faced which caused undue stress on the day: -mother of the bride was made to swap bedrooms right before the ceremony started as she had been checked into the wrong room by hotel staff and told she had to immediately pack up and move rooms -numerous guests checked into the wrong bedrooms and then rudely told it was their fault -we were charged £10 each for guests who forgot to return their hotel key cards at checkout, I can find no written policy about this (but they take a £30 deposit for each bedroom which they seem to find some reason or other to not return!) -we had booked adjoining rooms for some guests with children but the staff couldn’t locate the key to open the adjoining doors -we had use of the library in the dry hire as a room for photos and for guests to relax in after the ceremony- it was full of stacks of chairs and storage from the wedding the day before so could not be used -when guests asked for directions or simple questions the hotel staff said they can’t answer as they are not involved in the wedding (which is true as it is dry hire but they can still tell an elderly guest which way to the marquee) Overall a really poorly managed hotel with some rude staff members - not fit for weddings the size it tries to host. They also run their weddings completely back to back so will be kicking your guests out on the dot at checkout even if they are just waiting in the lobby for their taxi. The grounds are nice for photos but that doesn’t make up for the rudeness towards guests and poor service. Using this venue made our wedding day infinitely more stressful than it needed to be. Thank you to Andy and the team on the day, everything ran just how we wanted and not a hiccup in sight! Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and asked why we chose Nunsmere, my response was ‘because of the first thing you just said to me’. I will be definitely coming back for a stay, and also to renew our vows in years to come 😬. Our wedding coordinator, Erin, was fantastic. She made the process so easy and enjoyable. She's a credit to Nunsmere. Our master of ceremonies, Clive, was brilliant and our day went smoothly because of him and the team. Everyone was as excited for our day as we were. They have so many different options of rooms to choose from to get married in and we had access to them all. They accommodated us the night before with all of our decorations for our Alice in Wonderland wedding and helped get everything ready. The bedrooms are out of this world and are massive! We could go on and on about how amazing they all were. Thank you Nunsmere for making our day so special xWe had our amazing wedding at Nunsmere and we cannot fault them at all. Yesterday was amazing and everyone enjoyed it. (see below one of the comments we have received). From welcoming people in the car park area, to serving up fabulous food and helping here, there and everywhere, nothing was too much trouble. Please don’t forget to thank the chef. Also a massive thanks for our rooms last night and the great food and ambiance in the bar area after the event last night. We had a few drinks before having tea and then collapsing in the bedrooms (which are the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in – I felt like a queen for the night) plus breakfast was great this morning before having to set off back to the office this morning.Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and all your team at Nunsmere Hall Hotel.
