Exclusive use of the gardens and grounds, from the Thursday when the marquee goes up, to the Sunday when it comes down. Walk through of the house from the front lawns, through the hall and drawing room to the back lawns, where the marquee is situated. Couples are very welcome to use the three principal rooms for bridal photographs.

This unique family home, with its stunning gardens, meadows, lake and river provides a perfect English setting for an unforgettable day. We are a blank canvas venue allowing you to create your perfect day that is entirely bespoke. We have various ceremony options, from a beautiful church 50mtrs walk from the house to 4 stunning locations around the gardens for civil, Hindu or humanist services. The formal gardens are an ideal setting for welcome drinks, canapés, photographs and garden games, while a riverside garden marquee is a gorgeous location for your wedding breakfast and party. We also have a nightclub in the cellars should you wish to continue the party down there!

Happy event for all ages!
A great location for My husbands 80 birthday and youngest grandchild’s christening. Family from far and wide came to Newington. We were able to use the church, which was quite beautiful. We were then able walk through the garden to have wonderful lunch on the terrace. A perfect venue for both young and old, the little ones could run about on the lawns and the older generations watch from the terrace.

An amazing and friendly venue!
Newington House is a fantastic wedding venue that ticks every box! Alex and James are both amazing and any idea you may have dreamed of will be possible. No cookie-cutter wedding venue here! While Newington house is their family home this was no obstacle and they were flexible on everything; suppliers, timings, set up, packing up and the use of the garden - I could go on. There was never the feeling of being rushed off the property to make way for the next wedding. We had full access to the garden for 4 days in total which is pretty rare from what we could see. The house, garden and river make the most amazing backdrop for photos and it is an idyllic venue for a fairytale wedding. Thank you Alex and James!

Brilliant 70th birthday party

Totally perfect
Our wedding at Newington House was everything we could have wished for and more. The venue is stunning, lots of different areas to make use of. It really is a blank canvas venue, we were able to choose our own suppliers and add all our own personal touches to make it completely bespoke and personal to us. Very friendly and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. We always felt very welcome throughout the hire period. Highly recommend this venue if you want to create your own perfect day.

Pefect in every way
My daughter got married at Newington and we couldnt have asked for a more perfect venue. The setting is beautiful, the staff and suppliers were first class and most importantly my daughter and son in law had the best day of their lives. It all felt very homely and relaxed, which, as parents is what we wanted.
