Milton Hill House, Abingdon

I wanted to take the time and email to say thank you Ellie, for everything you've done and helped us with on the lead up to the wedding and most importantly on our wedding day. Were still shocked how the weather turned out and how much of a beautiful day it was! The food was delicious so please say thank you to the chef! Everything was perfect and turned out exactly how we wanted it and went above and beyond on helping us on the day! We'd love to look to come back on or around our wedding anniversary and enjoy everything again 💖

Thank you sooooo much! Our day was amazing! The whole thing went without fault from start to finish! The head guy (I can’t remember his name, but he’s an older gent with glasses and was wearing a grey coloured shirt) was FABULOUS! He went above any beyond to ensure we had everything we needed! Please give him a special shout out from us! We loved him. The team that looked after us on the morning, bringing our breakfast up and the pastries were fresh out the oven and still warm (my FAVOURITE thing 😊) they couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind! Please again thank them for us! The only niggle we had from some guest not all of them was that their food was not as warm as it should have been when it was served to them. But again, the first tables served said the food was perfect, so it was just unfortunate for the tables waiting a bit longer. Everyone said was an INCREDIBLE day they had and how wonderful the venue was! Thank you, thank you and THANK YOU! I’m just sad it’s all over now! lol!

From start to finish the service from Milton Hill House was excellent. It started off with quick replies to emails and helpful responses, then meetings to go through the basics and a view of the location. The communication throughout the process was amazing. Ellie was in constant contact with us in regards to updates and suppliers details. The organisation for the food tasting was brilliant, again with amazing service and quality food. When it got closer to the Wedding, we had meetings with Ellie where we went through the plan for the whole day and made sure all the details were correct with numbers etc. She helped us out massively by making name cards for each guest with their food choices, which saved us another worry. Ellie then introduced us to Tori who was the Manager overseeing everything on the day. Tori was also amazing with sorting out staff and making sure everyone got looked after properly. In a whole Milton Hill House did an amazing job with everything and made the day very stress free. The place was in immaculate condition and all the guests complimented on the venue and service that was provided. Thank you Milton Hill House, Ellie and Tori for all your help and support. Thanks to Ellie and Tori for an unforgettable experience! Right from the start of the process, all the way back at the wedding fair that we attended, we've been impressed by the level of professionalism and empathy. Throughout the build-up you became an integral part of the journey, not just advisors. Thank you so much, the day would not have been as special without your involvement. On the actual day, we felt completely safe in your hands, confident that it would run smoothly. You gave us the freedom to relax and enjoy the reception in full knowledge that everything was being coordinated by the wonderful team. We could not have been more delighted with how it went.

We would just like to say thank Ellie and Tori so much for coordinating our wedding. Ellie, thank you for being so on top of all the planning and being so on top of emails when we had questions. We hope you had a wonderful and well deserved holiday. Tori, thank you for being there on the day and making it all run so smoothly. Everyone has commented on how well it all went and how lovely you are. For me I felt I had an extra friend keeping me calm and organizing me. All the staff were so friendly and on top of everything, the food was delicious. We have had so many compliments on the venue and staff, you were all amazing and we honestly can't thank you enough. We are so thankful we manage to have the ceremony outside, we are the envy of all of our friends, and family. I don't think any of them had been to an outdoor wedding before. It was our perfect wedding, chilled but such a lot of fun. We just want to do it all over again....how long do we have to wait to renew our vows??? Thank you so much!

Firstly we just wanted to say a massive thank you to Ellie and Tori for your exceptional service on the day of our wedding! We felt really relaxed under the circumstances and this was because of the calm control you had over proceedings. I’ve listed some feedback below, feel free to take what you want for testimonials or marketing! If any photos come back that show off the venue I’ll forward them to you. o All staff were so friendly the whole weekend and really made the effort to chat to people and build repport which we loved. o The food was well cooked and delivered as specified. We had particular strong feedback from our guests about the hog roast. o The only criticism I can think of is that we would of liked the small bar opened from when guests had canapés as everyone moved away from the lovely Italian garden and segregated once the food and drink ran dry. o A few guests including ourselves commented on the room keys deactivating all the time. We were advised not to put them near phones but this didn’t seem to not make a difference. o Every member of staff who helped with our wedding from the moment we booked was extremely organised, tentative and empathetic. o We thought that because of the quality of the venue and the amazing service we received that our wedding was very good value for money.

We had the most amazing day celebrating our wedding at Milton Hill House Hotel. The day exceeded our expectations particularly due to the short timescale (55 days from initial correspondence to our wedding day). Right from the beginning we knew we were in good hands as all our communication with Ellie was thorough and prompt. Ellie was able to answer all the questions we had before our big day, no request was ever too much! We were very appreciative of the level of input we had regarding the itinerary and manner in which things were done on the day. We were provided with ample time to set up the venue the night and morning before. We appreciated being left to do what we desired with the space without the interference of any staff but still having Tori touch base periodically throughout the evening. She ran us through the logistics of the day and would frequently ask if we had any questions or needed any assistance. The day itself ran smoothly and on time! Due to the details of our day being discussed thoroughly beforehand Tori and her team were able to ensure the day went perfectly. All the staff that participated in the event were friendly and welcoming and happy to help with anything requested of them either by ourselves or guests. The food was incredible both for our wedding breakfast and during our evening buffet, the portions were very generous. Again, the process was executed well both during the breakfast and buffet. There was sufficient time provided between the courses during breakfast that enabled everyone to finish but not be waiting for too long. The buffet was clearly labelled and laid out. Staff were frequently ensuring there was sufficient of each item present and restocking if necessary. Our in-house DJ Mike did an incredible job catering to our guests tastes, particularly as this was a bilingual wedding! He was more than happy to take requests from guests and adapted accordingly. Despite leaving our communication with him to the very last minute he was able to follow through with two song requests we wanted and executed them perfectly. All of our guests commented on what a lovely day they had and what an amazing venue we had secured. Many guests commented they wouldn’t have known it was a short notice wedding as it was all so well organised and implemented. We could not have asked for the day to have gone any better and are very happy we chose Milton Hill House as our wedding venue, we will look back on it fondly over the years to come!
