Description
In the heart of Frensham, a pretty village on the Surrey-Hampshire border, Millbridge Court is made for celebrating big moments and bringing great people together. Vaulted halls, gardens that look out to the countryside and space for 150 guests seated, or 200 standing – it’s the kind of place where memories are made and stay with you long after.
We have seven double bedrooms in the main house, one in the Lodge and tucked away in a wooded corner of our garden is the Cabin, with double doors that lead out to a deck overlooking the meadows.
Our interiors take cues from Victorian architecture and Surrey’s history of craftsmanship, mixing cottagecore charm, rich textiles and thoughtful details inspired by the landscape around us.

Really quick responses, especially leading up to our day. On the day, all the team were so helpful, they set up everything exactly how we wanted and made sure it was all perfect for us. From the moment we saw the venue, just from the outside we knew that was our place. Step inside and walk around and it just ticked every box. The staff were amazing from start to finish and Shelby herself couldn’t do enough for us. So reassuring leading up to the day and then all the hard work to get the venue sorted for how we visioned it on the day, was just a treat to behold.My Wife and I had our wedding here two days ago and it’s the best decision we made throughout our planning. Everything since that first viewing has been absolutely flawless. The millbridge team are all wonderful, always on hand to answer any question you may have and the built in dinner and details date nights offered during the planning process are truly invaluable, so many other venues either don’t do this or charge through the roof for this so we felt so lucky this was something we got to experience just because we were getting married at millbridge. Millbridge also have an extensive list of preferred suppliers who are all 10/10, almost all of our suppliers on the day were from their list not only for ease but because they were genuinely very good at what they do. The wedding day was better than we could have ever dreamed and the event team were a god send, I had a lot of DIY decor that they were more than happy to place for us, they were always on hand when we had a question or needed something. The food provided by Kalm is just amazing, we had and are still having so many guests tell us just how much they loved the food and how much of it there was. I cannot recommend Millbridge highly enough, it will forever hold such a special place in our hearts. We chose this venue (viewed 5 others) because it had such a lovely feeling, just like a beautiful cosy home. We particularly lovely the two large spaces filled with natural light from those immense windows. The outdoor ceremony area was so romantic, private and intimate surrounded by nature. The spaces to get ready are perfectly tailored to the bride and groom, the decor is stylish and classy.We had so many lovely comments about the venue and the team! On arrival the halls were cool on a hot day and drinks were available from the bar. Post wedding the photos took place in the gardens to the rear of the event space. The venue was quite a bit larger than you got a sence of from the road. Do we have to use your preferred suppliers, or can we bring our own?
Food and drink is taken care of by Kalm Kitchen, our long-standing catering partners. Our collaboration is built on a shared ethos: super tasty food made using the best seasonal produce, with a focus on wholesome ingredients sourced from local suppliers. For everything else — flowers, photography, cake, calligraphy — we have a carefully chosen list of suppliers who know the house well, but you're welcome to bring your own.
What are the decoration rules around confetti, candles or fireworks?
Confetti is welcome as long as it's made from fresh or dried flower petals, and while outdoor fireworks and sparklers aren't allowed, cold handheld cake sparklers inside are absolutely fine. Have something else in mind? Just ask - we'll always do our best to make it work.
Will we have a dedicated wedding producers?
Yes, of course! Our producers are the most organised people we know and love getting into the finer details. They'll be on hand to guide you through the planning process every step of the way, working closely with your designated event planner at Kalm Kitchen to make sure everything — including the menu — comes together seamlessly.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Our oak Arbour in the garden is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests, available between April and September, weather permitting. If the weather turns, the Gallery is an indoor alternative, with double-height windows that flood the space with natural light and open views over the gardens.
How long do we have the house for, and when can suppliers access it?
Millbridge Court is exclusive-use, meaning the entire property — house, grounds, Lodge, Cabin and all nine bedrooms — is yours for your wedding. Specific hire periods and supplier access times will be covered during the planning process.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes, dogs are welcome for the ceremony and drinks reception. Once the wedding breakfast begins, the team ask that they are taken off the grounds.
Can we have a live band or DJ?
Yes. The Gallery, our evening party space, has lofty ceilings, a secret bar tucked behind opulent curtains, and plenty of room to dance — built for a proper celebration. Get in touch with any specific questions about live music and we can talk through what works best.
Is the house fully accessible for guests with disabilities?
Yes — there's easy access from the car park to the main house, with suitable facilities inside. Please note the bedrooms, the Loft and the Lodge aren't accessible.
Do you have a space for getting ready on the morning of the wedding?
Yes. Get ready on the morning of your wedding in our Loft, tucked away from arriving guests. It has makeup stations, a hair-washing station, hairdryers and styling tools, and a bathroom — ideally suited for hair stylists and make-up artists, with enough room for groups too. We can serve drinks and treats while you're getting prepped. We also have the Lodge, next to the main house, which has a dressing area upstairs.
Where do we stay on the wedding night?
For the wedding night, the Cabin is a natural choice: a private retreat in a wooded corner of the garden, with a canopied super-king bed, a freestanding bathtub, a log burner, and its own deck looking out over the meadows.
