Houchins

Houchins are just simply amazing! We were sold on booking Houchins for our wedding the minute we arrived to view the venue 18 months ago. It has a romantic, intimate, cosy, relaxed and magical feel, it is simply beautiful! The fact that you can legally marry at the venue was also a reason why we booked Houchins. The grounds are stunning and you have the option to have your ceremony inside or outside, depending on the weather. There is also a beautiful house on the grounds that you can hire for the wedding night accommodation for the happy couple and family/friends. There is a well equipped room for the bride and bridesmaids to have their hair and make up done, get ready and have a glass of bubbles whilst having photos etc. before the ceremony. The team are brilliant! Nothing is too much trouble, and were amazing from the very first visit through to the day after the wedding. Staff are extremely professional, whilst still being friendly and felt much like good friends discussing our wishes for the day. The attention to detail is fantastic, everything is considered and the communication is great, we were kept updated throughout the whole process. Personal circumstances meant that there were considerable changes to our guest numbers the week before the wedding, however the team were great at making these changes and supporting us with this at the same time. We used a few of Houchins recommended suppliers; Splinters caterers and Toasty Box for evening food, both were brilliant. On the day of the wedding, staff were brilliant at seeing to last minute details to the tables and making sure we had the right umbrellas for photos. They were brilliant at seeing guests in and making sure we (bride/groom/bridesmaids) were ok, getting drinks with straws as to not ruin our lipstick! Eloise, was our event manager and was just fantastic, she was orchestrating the whole day and made us feel so relaxed throughout each stage, communicating with us till the end of the night. Ellyse is also amazing, she showed us the venue on our first visit, she is very knowledgeable and communicated with us for most of the 18 months before the big day, communication is extremely effective at Houchins. We had such an amazing day, our family and friends were so impressed with the venue and staff, we are so grateful to everyone at Houchins for making our day the best it could possibly be! Couples should not hesitate when considering Houchins for their wedding, you’ll be so thankful you did!

We fell in love with Houchins as soon as we visited and knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding - classically beautiful, tranquil and spacious but still felt intimate, fun and modern. The marquee and gardens were gorgeous for our September wedding, but it is beautiful at any time of year. The whole Houchins team were amazing from day one. The staff went above and beyond for us throughout, including on the big day itself. Really lovely people and we couldn't thank them enough.

We got married at Houchins in October and had the most incredible day. A huge thank you to the Houchins team for making everything run so smoothly. All our guests loved the venue and had a great time. The team are very responsive making working with them very easy. They're very relaxed and nothing was too much hassle for them. Eloise kept all of the wedding party running on time and made everything as stress free as possible. The venue itself is beautiful, in a beautiful spot.

From looking around Houchins on their open day to our wedding, we’ve had the best experience. All the staff have been excellent and so accommodating. As a bride we want to know if we email with a question that we’ll hear back quickly and I always did! The venue has everything you need and we used some of Houchins preferred suppliers which was so handy. With several planning meetings I felt like our day was in hand and on the wedding day I didn’t have to worry at all, I could just enjoy my day!

Not only is the venue stunning but the team are so great. We stayed in the house the night before and got to set up the venue, and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the Houchins team were nothing less than kind and helpful. They are a well oiled, organised machine and if something went wrong - we certainly had no idea! Couldn’t recommend more.

One of the best days of our entire life, the whole day from start to finish was incredible and we can’t thank Houchins enough for everything you did for us before, during and after the wedding. The most magical day 🫶🏻

Was the best day! Eloise was simply outstanding as our Wedding manager, shout out to James as well on the day was great. Really can't recommend Houchins as a venue, Eloise & her team as it was easily one of the best days of our lives. Easy 5 stars!! big love H&S xx

I simply cannot put into words how amazing this place is, the grounds, the rooms and most importantly the staff. We were married in August. From the very first day we came to the actual day everyone & everything has been seamless & made our special day more perfect. A very special mention to Eloise - we would of forgotten something but her professionalism and attention to detail were invaluable. At Houchins we got the wedding of our dreams & precious memories to treasure. You're all outstanding

A stunning Venue and a lovely team We couldn't have picked the best venue for our wedding, Eloise and all the team at Houchins are welcoming and friendly. The grounds are well kept and stunning too. We loved the combination of outside and inside areas. All our guest said how beautiful the venue was and we couldn't agree more, Thankyou for the most amazing and wonderful wedding day x

Everything about our wedding was exceptional. Houchins is a beautiful venue, with amazing staff & full of thoughtful touches. Some of our guests said it felt like a fairytale & we couldn't agree more. We wish we could do it all again. x
