By car 🚗
From the A1: Leave A1 at A19/Tyne Tunnel/Cramlington junction 80. Take first left, the hotel is 500 yards on right hand side.
From the A19: Follow north until the road meets the A1, at the roundabout take the third turning off, the hotel is 500 yards on the right hand side.
Public Transport 🚌
Arriva buses X21, X22 and X9 stops closest to us on Fisher Lane and is a 3 minute walk from the bus stop to the Holiday Inn. They go between Haymarket -Ashington (X21, X22) and Haymarket -Blyth (X9).
Get off at Fisher lane -walk towards the Esso garage.
Continue past the garage, following the road and then you will continue on the right. You will see our sign from there.
Be aware there is limited footpaths from the bus stop to the Holiday Inn. For those with limited access, it may be beneficial to get a taxi.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
This is a hard one! 🤔
One idea that I LOVED was a couple had used a canvas with a tree painted on it. There was a selection of paints where guests would select a colour, paint their thumb and press it on the canvas to imitate leaves. By the end of the night, the tree had an array of colourful leaves that filled the canvas! This was instead of a guest book and something the couple could display proudly in their home, with the thumb prints of all their loved ones who attended their most magical of days! It was so thoughtful and very creative! 🌳🍃

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our outdoor pavilion is the perfect place to sneak away to! Couples love the picturesque background and have some gorgeous wedding photos taken there! 📸

We have had plenty of celebrities at the hotel over the years, but then again, every guest is a VIP in our eyes! 😎
What’s your favourite canapé?
I love goat’s cheese and caramelised red onion tart — it’s rich, a little sweet, and just the right amount of cheesy… kind of like me! 😁
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Love them or hate them - Olives for sure! 🫒
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our Cheviot can hold up to 280 guests, which is great for bigger celebrations! 💃
Our Ridley suite has just been refurbished and the ceiling has artificial foliage which is beautiful! 🫶
We have 16 acres of grounds around the hotel and a Pavilion which is truly picturesque! 🖼️
