Should you choose to marry at the hotel; our Oak ceremony room enjoys rich, warm tones of oak which create an intimate atmosphere, while the large windows frame a picturesque lake view panorama that adds a touch of magic to your vows (why get married in the Lake District and not have a view of the lake?!). Our package is inclusive of exclusive use of the hotel from 1pm to 10am - during this period you will enjoy undisturbed use of the beautiful country house, grounds and gardens. For your wedding breakfast, embark on a culinary journey with country house stlye menu. From the tantalizing amuse-bouche to the delightful dessert finale, every dish is a testament to our commitment to culinary excellence; all set against the backdrop of Holbeck Ghyll’s stunning Lake views. The best way to get a feel for our venue is to come and see us; I always say choosing a venue is a bit like buying a house - you'll know what's right for you when you see it in person. It's always a pleasure to introduce couples to Holbeck Ghyll...I'd be out of a job if I didn't! Wedding Packages at Holbeck Ghyll are based on up-to 20 guests with 85 being our maximum guest number. Mid-week and weekend availability throughout the year.
- Exclusive use of the estate from 12pm to 10am
- £1,500 dining credit*
- Accommodation (use of all 14 bedrooms in the main house)
- Breakfast for up-to 28 guests
- VAT up-to 20%
There is no minimum spend or minimum room booking requirements with our stated rates.
*Dining credit is to be used on pre-arranged food and beverage items (does not include bar tabs etc). Non-transferable to other dates or products, non-refundable if not used. As an example; a three course menu, 3 canapes per person and a glass of fizz per person averages £90 per person (this price will vary depending on your chosen menu(s) - our menus are shown in our brochure).

It even seems Holbeck Ghyll was thrilled with us since our photos (with permission obviously) have appeared on their socials! I'm Polish and my husband is English which meant we were keen to bring traditions from both cultures to our days. The team was absolutely amazing in making our vision come to life, including many adjustments to the traditional timeline of the day. During the planning the responses weren't always super fast, but our plan was executed to perfection. Our guests also felt very special and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves. On the day itself we didn't have to worry about anything at all - the entire day was run smoothly by the team. They did everything perfectly according to our wishes. We're absolutely thrilled to have chosen Holbeck Ghyll as our wedding venue! As soon as we got there we fallen in love with the views. Gregory and the team were very welcoming and friendly from the minute we met. Planning all details was smooth as the venue was very responsive and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. Traditional wedding menu with a fine dining twist couldn't be faulted. The views were fantastic, helped by the weather over the weekend. The band played outdoors on the terrace overlooking the lake until midnight, which added to the great wedding party atmosphere. Stayed over the weekend. Wish it could have been longer. Amazing views from the lodges, beautiful relaxing lounge with open fire. Staff were so accommodating and as with some other hotels didn’t feel rushed to leave at the end of the evening. Food was fantastic in the evening and breakfast was equally as lovely, even spare sausages for Walter! Definitely returning to the hotel for another stay.Had a lovely stay at the hotel. The hotel has its quirks but these only add to the charm for travellers who are after something a bit more interesting than generic ‘luxury’. We came here to get engaged, and the entire House Staff made everything perfect: from the recommendations, to accepting our very, very late check-in, to keeping an eye out for my engagement ring in the Post. What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our stunning location & view - we're between two very popular towns in the national park however as we're sat within our own grounds and gardens it feels like you're in your own world. The views looking down to the lake coupled with the gardens that surround the estate makes it a perfect hideaway.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The bespoke feel to the weddings we host, every single one is different to the last.
