Full Description
Located in the tranquil village of Heacham, just 5 minute drive from the beautiful coastline, Heacham Manor Hotel is arguably one of the most charming and picture-perfect wedding venues in Norfolk. Couples can choose from the traditional and historic 16th century Manor House or a contemporary farmhouse style venue, The Pavilion which is new for 2021. Whichever venue you choose you will be supported on your wedding journey by Sarah, our dedicated Wedding and Event Manager. Our Manor House has a conservatory, with panoramic views looking out onto the delightful gardens and golf course, which will be your canvas to style as you wish. Looking for something bigger? We welcome marquees on our lawn allowing you to accommodate up to 150 guests. The Pavilion features a more flexible space in the Dove Suite with a private fenced garden perfect for Duo Ceremonies. The Dove Suite can cater to up to 150 guests, or the soundproof dividing wall can section the space for a more intimate wedding. Work with our AA Rosette Chef to develop your own menu or choose from our carefully selected wedding breakfast menus. All food is fresh seasonal produce sourced right here from local farmers wherever possible. With a golf course, spa, beautifully manicured gardens (with some secret photo shoots) and just a 5-minute drive from the stunning coast - we are a must-visit venue for your big day.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Meet the venue's wedding coordinator in person. Always ask questions, spend the time to discuss your wedding plans and take away information so that you have a written record of what is discussed – Remember to take the organisers name, number so that you have a point of contact for the company. Take photos to remember cool ideas.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Is there something your partner is really passionate about? Try and incorporate it into the wedding in a small way; even better if you can pull it off as a surprise. We once had a wedding with mini cricket bats as table markers. We particularly loved this touch as Heacham Manor was once owned by the legendary Edrich family. Denis Compton is rumoured to have bowled to Bill Edrich on the manor's lawn.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Heacham Manor boasts some great photo spots, both inside our historic manor house and on the surrounding ground. Some couples even travel to the nearby Heacham or Hunstanton beaches and the regal Sandringham House Gates to include unique local landmarks. However, our favourite spots are our pond, tree swing and arbour alongside our iconic mulberry tree.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our 400-year old Mulberry Tree that legend has it was planted by Native American Princess Pocahontas, while visiting with her husband John Rolfe. The red mulberry was a very important part of Native American culture, used for medicine and clothing dye, and our tree still bares fruit to this day.
