Description

We have many years of experience in hosting weddings and can cater for parties from just bride and groom up to parties of 70. Our wedding packages are designed to offer great value for money to accompany our friendly hospitality. Our unique wedding venue has an open timber roof, soft candlelight and romantic music to create a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. Couples are married over the anvil in a private ceremony conducted by either a local minister or a registrar. Guests can unwind in one of our 33 ensuite bedrooms which come in a variety of styles including luxurious bridal suites, spacious family rooms and single, twin or double bedrooms. Our restaurant boasts three individual function rooms which offer a variety of different menus, buffets, wines and drinks packages. Our grounds include many features perfect for wedding photographs including a bandstand, kissing gate and our iconic waterwheel.

Our Soulmates Package is for 2 and is priced at £645 It includes your ceremony venue, 2 night's stay in one of our comfortable double rooms and a meal for 2 with drinks packages plus help from our wedding planner team. Our Cherish Package is for 2 and is priced at £945 It includes your ceremony venue, 2 night's stay in one of our luxurious bridal suites, meal and drinks package for 2, plus 16 8x6 photos in a boxed presentation album and help from our wedding planner team. Our Dream Package is for 10 and is £1,495 It includes your ceremony venue, bridal accommodation for 2 nights, meals and drinks package for 10, 16 8x6 photos, traditional Scottish piper and help from our wedding planner team. Our Celebration Package is for 20 and is £2,195 It includes your ceremony venue, bridal accommodation for 2 nights, meals and drinks package for 20, 20 10x8 photos, a traditional Scottish piper, a bridal makeover for the bride in her bridal suite and help from our wedding planner team. Our Tie The Knot Exclusive Use Package is for 45 and is priced at £6,395 It includes your ceremony venue, bridal accommodation for 2 nights, meals and drinks package for 45 plus 20 double rooms for the night of your wedding and help from our wedding planner team. Our Ultimate Exclusive Use Package is for 45 and is priced at £7,995 It includes your ceremony venue, bridal accommodation for 2 nights, meals and drinks package for 45 plus 15 double rooms for the night of, and night before, your wedding, 20 10x8 photos, a traditional Scottish piper, a bridal makeover for the bride in her bridal suite and help from our wedding planner team.

The Mill forge is the perfect wedding venue. We had a great time with the bride and groom. The bar/restaurant had a wide selection of items. All the staff were very kind and helpful in any requests. A short drive to Gretna town which is beautiful and plenty of little shops to visit. Overall a great experience! Rooms: Spacious and clean. Fully equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay.The Mill forge is the perfect wedding venue. We had a great time with the bride and groom. The bar/restaurant had a wide selection of items. Really enjoyed our stay and wedding day here. The staff could not have been more helpful in fact they were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. We wanted a very simple private ceremony with just the 2 of us and that is just what they provided. Can not thank them enough. We would definitely recommend a visit if this is what you are looking for or even bigger events.Really enjoyed our stay and wedding day here. I can not believe the experience we had in the mill forge. The chaple is so beautiful ceremony was so beautiful. The staff are warm welcoming northing was too much trouble the food was beautiful. Stayed here for a night to break up a long journey from Kent to North East Scotland. Beds were comfy, room was clean and was good value. Rooms were clean and perfect for what we needed. Service was second to none and everyone made our day very special. The function rooms were cosy and perfect for a disco and the chapel was relaxed and a magical intimate space. Great place to get married. You feel very well cared for. Timing between individual weddings allows the focus to be on you rather than rushing through . Grounds are so well thought out and offers so many great photo opportunities. The staff are all amazing, especially Ian on the bar, and Pauline. They make you feel welcome and special as if you're the only couple getting married. We had an amazing day.Great place to get married. You feel very well cared for. Wedding was Perfect!Wedding was Perfect!
Went to Mill Forge last week for our sons wedding. Had a fabulous time the wedding was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very friendly and very good service. Time spent in the bar was great friendly atmosphere both with the staff and other guests. The food was great the chef was the food was lovely. We stayed an extra night. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff at The Mill Forge for helping make our son and daughter in laws day so special.Went to Mill Forge last week for our sons wedding. Had a fabulous time the wedding was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very friendly and very good service.
