Where to even begin? The entire team at Auchen Castle gave us the most incredible and unforgettable wedding and there are not enough words to say how thankful we are. Sarah was incredibly accommodating from the day that our planner reached out for date availability, to the day that she dropped off our marriage schedule at the Lockerbie library on our behalf.
Planning a destination wedding at a venue you have never seen and with vendors you have never spoken to can be quite nerve wracking. However, I had the utmost confidence in Sarah and they blew our expectations out of the water.
My bridal party arrived at the same time that another wedding was checking out, and while I’m sure that was incredibly hectic and chaotic for everyone at Auchen Castle, you would never know it.
We bought the “all things taken care of package.” Every vendor that was chosen for us we’re professional and did an amazing job. Our flowers were some of the prettiest arrangements I had ever seen, our cake was beautiful, the piper was amazing, the DJ was SO fun, and our hair and makeup team took on the task of 9 girls and nailed it. To top off the ceremony, we had the owl do a meet and greet afterwards which was a such a unique highlight of the day.
When it came time to start gathering for the ceremony, Fiona was on top of everything. She made sure that everything happened when it was supposed to and I didn’t have to stress a single moment about anything at all. The biggest gift of all was getting to focus on our friends and family and enjoy our wedding.
We were blessed to be able to have our ceremony outside in front of the fountain and it was prettier than I ever imagined, and the castle made for a stunning backdrop.
The cocktail hour was enjoyed by everyone and the canapés were delicious. The reception space was beautiful; with big windows and views of the hills. The 3 course dinner was incredible and every meal was carefully plated.
Because we planned this in such a short window of time, a lot of changes with our guest list and bridal party happened and Sarah and her team always were incredibly understanding and accommodating to those changes. And every time we thought we knew what to expect, Auchen Castle surprised us with yet another perk of our package. We were surprised at every turn over the 4 month planning period.
All of our guests stayed in the castle the night of the wedding and each room was as stunning as the next. We couldn’t believe that this was OUR wedding. Breakfast the next morning was equally as delicious as dinner and the perfect way to cap off the weekend.
Thank you does not seem sufficient but thank you for giving us the best wedding ever. We are forever grateful.
