I photographed a wedding at Gorwell Farm on the wettest day in the UK since 1891. You'd think that would have put a damper on the day, but honestly, it was still beautiful.
The day started in the self accommodation on site, which was a huge bonus as the bride didn't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic to get to the wedding.
A quick run to across the courtyard (it was pouring with rain) to the barn and the ceremony could begin.
First thing I have to mention is that although I expect the barn to be freezing, it has underfloor heating and stayed cosy and warm throughout the whole day.
The couple had moved their wedding indoors and due to Covid restrictions, only had a handful of guests. The barn didn't feel overpowering, big and empty though, it felt intimate and cosy.
We did venture outside very briefly for photos under the gazebo. Even in the pouring rain, you could see it would be a beautiful location for an outdoor wedding.
The team there really did go above and beyond, and the couple raved about how accommodating they had been with the changes due to covid.
Whether you're planning a summer festival vibe or an intimate winter wedding, this is a beautiful venue.
