Couldn't have been better
Folly Farm have been amazing from day one. We looked at three venues. They were head and shoulders above the rest. Having the venue the night before for an intimate meal with close friends and family was perfect. No complaints at all. We had the best weekend.

Wedding Day
Dear Melissa and the Folly Farm team, Thank you so much for everything in support of our wedding - we really had the most amazing and perfect weekend! We were so lucky with the weather - but everyone who came to the wedding said how beautiful the wedding venue is at Folly Farm and in particular how delicious the food was across the entire weekend! Hope you all had a good Christmas and good luck for all all your weddings in 2023!

FF was perfect for us.
FF was perfect for us; we really wanted a wedding with a laid back feel where all our guests could stay with us for the weekend and enjoy themselves. Everything went perfectly, the team were very professional, flexible, and provided a perfect day. Some things took a bit longer than you might expect, for example we didn't get the food invoice until a few days before, and sometimes it took a bit longer to get hold of someone by email or phone, but there were no issues or problems with this. The hot water did go wrong for some guests during the Saturday night and there were some blocked showers, but this was fairly promptly fixed. The rooms are super comfortable with all the amenities you could need. Some rooms are smaller than others, especially in the farmhouse, but this didn't matter for us as everyone was having such a great time together exploring and hanging out. The walks surrounding the venue are beautiful and we wish we'd had more time to explore these, but quite a few guests enjoyed them. Communication with other service providers was smooth. The partnered catering company is amazing and catered for all sorts of dietary requirements - even our pickiest eaters were praising the food. We especially liked how accessibility-friendly the venue is, and the flexibility to have whatever kind of wedding you could imagine. We and all our guests loved the venue and we had so many people asking us if we can all go back and do it again - which we are very tempted to do!

FAQ
(10)

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We lost our barns, it was storm Eunice on a Friday. We lost four of our bedrooms, including the bridal suite. We had to rebuild the wedding from scratch on that day, within the space of about 3 hours. We managed to pull it off, and it was one of our most special weddings, the couple were still so happy and it has stuck with us. This is a reflection of how hard we work for our couples, to ensure they have the best day possible.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Try to avoid saying we 'should' do this, take a step back from this question and make sure it's exactly what you want for your wedding. Be true to yourself.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Star wars shoes, they were R2-D2!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Beautiful, flexible, natural, special and scenic.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

By the Oak Tree - it is 400 years old!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We do a lot of work with Aardman, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, and one day the character 'Morph' came in, we lost it!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Shredded sticky duck, with plum sauce and spring onion and chilli. The tempura king prawns with sweet chilli and lime. Crispy corn tortilla, avocado and coriander salsa.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Mac and cheese bar, with sprinkles. Bacon, cheese sprinkles. Crispy onion sprinkles too!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We are owned by Avon wildlife trust, so all of our profits are gifted to charity.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our personal element to what we do here for our couples, we really do go the extra mile, we're not solely a wedding venue, so we do far less weddings. Which means they are so much more special. You also have the ability to change absolute anything you want for your wedding day.
