fforest Farm is the perfect location for a relaxed, informal, weekend-long celebration with family and friends. The 200 acres of fforest farm are part of an area of unspoilt natural beauty, wrapped in woods, wildlife and wonder. The farm is flanked on one side by the Teifi Marshes nature reserve and on the other, Cilgerran gorge, through which the magnificent river Teifi flows down to our local town of Cardigan and the Irish sea beyond. fforest Farm has been created as a place to enjoy the simplicity, pleasures and beauty of outdoor living in an outstanding natural environment, with its private tiny stone pub, large communal firepit and secret woodland sauna and a choice of event spaces from the giant hat tipi and garden pavilion to dining and party barns. fforest is located in north Pembrokeshire minutes from the Cardigan Bay Coast. The venue consists of a variety of indoor and outdoor locations, as well as on-site serviced accommodation for 130+ ranging from a grand Georgian 5 bed, 5 bathroom farmhouse to 20ft diameter geodesic domes (guests pay separately for their accommodation). The site also features a large communal firepit, a cedar barrel sauna and is adjacent to the River Teifi, perfect for some pre-breakfast wild swimming. fforest holds a licence for intimate civil ceremonies in our lodge, Bwthyn pub or garden pavilion. You can also have your ceremony in our giant hat tipi or outdoors in our ancient steep walled quarry, just popping inside to sign the register. "still on cloud nine"
Simon and I returned home from our honeymoon yesterday and, even though we're back at work today, we're still on cloud nine after an amazing wedding and honeymoon. We both wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you all at Fforest for an absolutely magical weekend. Your help and support in the run up to and during the weekend itself made it a complete success with absolutely no dramas. We've had so many compliments and kind words from our guests, specifically relating to Fforest Farm and how fantastic the entire experience was. All of our guests had a blast and Simon and I both agree that it was without a doubt the best weekend of our lives. You all played a huge part in the success so thank you!

"trapped in a bubble of joy!"
I am trapped in a bubble of joy - cheesy I know! THANK YOU so much to everyone at Fforest for a truly wonderful wedding party - it was the best 3 days ever! We were so lucky because there was only one other couple so it actually felt like we had exclusive use - haha! Fforest knocked everyones socks off and it enabled Adrian and I to be true to ourselves and do everything our way! Sending so much gratitude to Fliss who was a breath of fresh air and Jenny who was so helpful and relaxed! We loved the pizza party farmhouse vibe we were able to create the evening before (!!) and the Bwythn brought me absolute joy - I can't describe to you the tingles I got from that place!! Big thanks to the chef; EVERYONE was raving about the food. I mean I knew it was going to be good but wow!! Also absolute bonus that we had a box full of leftover cheese, crackers and carrot cakes (!!) to take to our 'honeymoon' cottage further up the coast - talk about value for money!

"go down in history"
We just got married at Fforest Farm and it will go down in history with us and all of our guests as the greatest wedding that has ever happened! This is largely down to Fforest as a whole but particularly the accommodation, which was comfortable, interesting, cosy and special; the staff, who were kind, attentive, relaxed, helpful and sweet; the pub, which is obviously perfect; Kelly & Paula, who guided us through the organisation with patience and good humour; lastly, Sian, James and Jackson, who have created a space which is magical and filled with love which is clearly filtering from the top down to the very bottom. Thank you Fforest for helping us to make our wedding vision a reality. We can’t wait to return!

We literally had the BEST weekend...
I’m not sure where to start with the thanks - we literally had the BEST weekend… My Mum said it was the best time of her life 😂 One guest said that she left the world at the gate and felt cocooned in a magical and welcoming hub of beautifulness for the weekend. The guests loved it, the family loved it and the dogs loved it! The food!! Your staff are incredible and we can’t thank you enough for allowing us to do all the little extras we wanted so that we had the dream wedding.

I just want to keep reliving it
Thank you so much! It was absolutely the best day and I just want to keep reliving it. We had so much amazing feedback about the venue and a lot of people have said it was the 'best wedding ever!'. The main highlights from what I've heard were: - the weather!! - the food - absolutely all of it, but significantly the lamb at dinner and the coleslaw for lunch - the accommodation

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

The most memorable weddings are always the ones that showcase the couple's personalities. If you are colourful, loud, creative, musical, nature-loving, athletic, then ensure that you incorporate something that reflects this into the celebrations. We are constantly inspired by the creativity of our couples, and we do embrace different! Do it your way and you can't go wrong.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't sweat the small stuff. Detail is important, but if something doesn't go to plan, unless you've publicised it in advance, chances are no-one will notice. The most important things are a great atmosphere, great food and drink and a happy relaxed couple surrounded by friends and family.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Bespoke enamel mugs, beautifully designed, well made, so that everyone could have a brew the morning after the wedding at the communal tea station with their special souvenir mugs. We love functional favours!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, rural, outdoor, crafted, magical

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Any of the ceremony locations, as they are all stunning - the ancient slate quarry, the giant hat tipi with uninterrupted views or the intimate tiny pub.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We've had our share of famous musicians and familiar faces from tv and film, a couple have sung during the celebrations, which is pretty special. But we aren't ones to gossip!

What’s your favourite canapé?

If I had to choose, then Parmesan shortbreads with goats cheese & fig chutney. But they're all great.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Home made hot sausage rolls in flaky pastry with mustard mayo

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Just one? The huge communal firepit, the teeny weeny candlelit pub, the cedar barrel sauna hidden in the woods, the atmospheric quarry, oodles of fabulous bespoke accommodation including the onsen dome with outdoor Japanese-style cast concrete soaking tub .........

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The testimonials. They just prove that 14 years of designing, building, researching, decorating, tasting, growing and hard slog has all been worth it. And our staff - although the venue is truly magical, most of our compliments are directed towards our wonderful team and we couldn't do it without them.
