The Grand Ballroom is one of the largest function rooms in the North West. Decorate it. Personalise it. And then eat, drink and dance the night away in it. With its own private entrance and bar, you get the whole place to yourselves on your special day. Smaller parties can enjoy the more intimate charm of our Key West or Key Largo suites. Staff were incredible
Everglades Hotel was recommended by our parents and when we looked at the wedding album, we felt it was the right place. We communicated with Mairead throughout the planning and met with Jason to finalise everything. Staff were incredible, can’t fault them. They did everything they could to make our day extra special.

The food is outstanding
We chose the Everglades because we have always liked it as a hotel and the food is outstanding and also Stephen’s Mum and Dad got married and had their reception here
so it was close to his heart. We met Neill shortly after our engagement and he showed us around the Hotel and we were sold. Covid happened and everything stopped but we had secured the Everglades and luckily didn’t have to change our date. as the day approached, we co-ordinated via email with Mairead Kelly who was always there to answer any question big or small. our wedding day ran smooth with the excellent staff and Jason who is in charge of the Weddings. We only got to meet him the day before but he was lovely too and we couldn’t have asked for better.

They made us feel so special
We choose the Everglades Hotel because it provided the elegant ‘grand ballroom’ effect we were looking for. This was topped off by their excellent service, modern rooms for our guests and friendly atmosphere. I (Emma) previously had afternoon tea in the Everglades and
loved it and when looking for a venue, my sister Rachel suggested considering it. Knowing the excellent service and fabulous décor and food, it was a great idea. This was confirmed when we met with Jason for the first time. Jason was able to confidently reassure us that we would get the wedding day we longed for. Jason was very friendly and listened carefully to everything we wanted. We decided there and then that the Everglades was the venue for us. Jason then made it his mission to provide us with everything in our price range, it was a package we could not refuse. On the day, all of the staff were amazing and so helpful. They made us feel so special and anything we asked for was no trouble to them. Everyone was so friendly and professional.

The staff at the Everglades were amazing
We hosted our Wedding at The Everglades. We originally planned to have our wedding in Donegal but due to covid restrictions at the time we decided to move our reception venue in the hope that we would be allowed more guests at our wedding. We did this around January/February time and we were so glad we did. The staff at the Everglades were amazing – nothing was a trouble and I think they were nearly as excited as we were to have our big day and get weddings going again. Jason and Neil were great and we can’t thank them enough for all their help and making our day so special.

The hotel went beyond expectations
When choosing their reception, the couple did a lot of research and attended wedding fayres before making their choice. However, when they visited the Grand Ballroom at the Everglades Hotel, that they knew it was the venue for them. “We were blown away by it. We met Catrina Myers, Business Development Manager, Mairead Kelly Events Manager and David who were all so welcoming and helpful from start to finish. Everyone who attended the wedding could not have commented enough on how excellent the customer service was throughout the day. The hotel went beyond expectations and staff paid attention to every single detail,” Carleen said.

After Beckie and Gavin visited the newly refurbished grand ballroom during a wedding fair at the Everglades Hotel in Derry, they completely fell head over heels in love with it! Gavin says, ‘We dealt with Mairead during the two years running up to the wedding and met with David the week before as he would be the one looking after us on the day. We met Neil the General Manager on our big day and his team could not have been more helpful. They really looked after us and put us at ease, ensuring the smooth running of our reception. All the staff from the guys behind the bar, to the waiters and waitresses, kitchen staff and those on reception really played a blinder! We really can’t thank them enough and would recommend the Everglades Hotel to anyone looking for a high-quality wedding venue.’
