Edgbaston Golf Club

Booking Edgbaston Golf Club felt like a bit of a leap of faith. With limited reviews / pictures online we went with our hearts and booked our wedding after our first meeting with the wedding coordinator. What we now realise is that the lack of online information is due to the fact that they do limited weddings - the whole experience felt bespoke and we were able to tailor it to exactly what we envisaged. We loved the fact that unlike lots of venues they were very upfront about costs. Sue (wedding coordinator) did an amazing job at ensuring the whole day went to plan. She catered for our every request and nothing seemed like too much trouble. (Thanks for your patience sue!!) She replied promptly to every email and executed everything perfectly. We fell in love with the venue due to its beautiful grounds. The exterior is grand and gorgeous, the interior is equally attractive but cosy enough to feel relaxed. The day felt like we were in a (much bigger and much fancier) extension of our own home. We both love food so it was really important we picked a venue that reflected this. We couldn’t have been happier with the service provided by the Head Chef and his team. We had so many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. There was flexibility for us to tweak the menu to our taste. The team were amazingly accommodating. The night food- small bowls were a massive hit! The front of house team (headed by Karen) were outstanding. She ensured the whole day ran smoothly, we were able to fully relax and enjoy the day. The grounds of the golf club are what sold it to us. We loved the fact that it is nestled amongst lots of trees and amazing grounds- making it easy to forget you’re also in the heart of Birmingham. We really recommend the golf club if you want a brummie wedding with great food, amazing grounds and a top tier organisation team.

A huge thanks to you both and your teams at the golf club, our evening couldn't have gone any better & we had a truly special day and night. Staff were absolutely phenomenal, the service was at such an impressive level and ran so smoothly. A special mention needs to go to the catering team as well because the food was spectacular. It was even better than the tasting we had and you would not believe the number of people that have since told us that it is the best food they have had at a wedding.
