Dodmoor House is an award winning wedding venue in Northamptonshire, with gorgeous Grade II listed barns as the perfect setting for your special day. The venue is exclusively yours for the day and evening, with four acres of landscaped grounds and a rustic courtyard area for you and your guests to enjoy. We are a family-run wedding venue, and place huge emphasis on giving the best levels of friendly and professional customer service possible. Our goal is for each of our couples to feel like they are the only people in the world getting married. We welcome all kinds of ideas for your wedding, and love to help your dreams become a reality! Dodmoor is fully licenced to hold civil ceremonies in rustic and romantic surroundings, including a number of outdoor locations around our beautiful grounds. We can host up to 96 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 180 for the evening celebrations. We offer the choice of no-corkage daytime drinks or our unlimited drinks package, and while we have an extensive list of local and recommended suppliers, you are welcome to bring in your own external suppliers if preferred. We have been announced as the "Best Barn Venue" in the Hitched UK Wedding Awards and and we were a National Finalist in the Guides for Brides 2020 Customer Satisfaction Awards, British Wedding Awards and National Awards! Our past achievements include winning the Wedding Industry Awards "Wedding Event Team 2019", "Best Barn Venue" in the 2017 UK Wedding Awards where our couples praised us for our high levels of customer service and attention to detail, and the "National Countryside Venue" in both 2013 and 2016. We are Mark and Louise, who set up Dodmoor House as a wedding venue back in 2006, after a painstaking restoration of the Grade II listed barns next to our family home. We have since hosted more than 1,000 weddings, with the aim to make sure that every couple's day is entirely unique. We pride ourselves on offering a very personal service, with your own dedicated wedding coordinator who is with you every step of the way to organise the wedding of your dreams!

Absolutely Wonderful

The prompt and detailed communication and care in the lead up and on the day was amazing, and the broad level of support given and advice when asked was so helpful and appreciated. The venue was very flexible and we felt so cared for, with the utmost trust instilled in Louise from the moment we met her. Also, her professionalism and high level of skill at her job at all times was incredibly admirable, noticeable, and appreciated. 10/10!

Dodmoor staff were actual ninjas

Where to start! The communication with staff at Dodmoor from start to finish was fantastic! The Wedding planning meeting was super thorough and helpful ,we went through every little detail and staff gave us some great ideas too. The staff were amazing at getting two brides and the bridal party to the aisle without seeing each other using screening boards! Dodmoor staff were actual ninjas with setting up the tables and centre pieces after the ceremony- nobody noticed!

We cannot thank you enough!

Honestly the perfect choice for a wedding venue. The venue is stunning and really didn't need dressing up. Everyone commented on how amazing the venue was! From the very first time we contacted Dodmoor we were made to feel special. They respond so quickly and provided so much information straight off the bat (compared to other venues it was like trying to pull teeth to get information and pricing). Once we booked, the communication didn't stop, we had regular invites to open days and updates to anything that may have changed or will be changing before our wedding date. It just set us at ease. We felt like we could contact them anytime with questions or concerns and weren't made to feel like we were being an annoyance. When we were assigned Eleanor as our coordinator (who was just amazing by the way), they really paid attention and allowed us to express how we pictured the day. They had suggestions when we were stuck for ideas and helped create a wonderful experience. Dodmoor helped us with our suppliers in ensuring they knew timings and other important information so we didn't have to worry about it. The day itself... We didn't have to worry about a thing. Eleanor ran the show like a boss and kept us up to date and calm. We didn't have to do anything except enjoy our day! There were so many little touches that really highlighted our experience. So much care and thought! I can't thank the Dodmoor House team enough. You really brought our vision to reality and made our day so special. We will always look back with the fondest of memories.

Wow what a venue! Amazing service right from the initial enquiry email - all the way through and after we checked out and said our goodbyes. Mark, Louise and their brilliant team went above and beyond, nothing was too much of an ask. Where to start. Dodmoor is simply beautiful from our first viewing back in Feb 2022, we’ve been in awe. Louise is absolutely fantastic at what she does, put all my worries at ease, supported our visions and made us feel amazing. The candles, fairy lights, flexibility all made it clear for us that this was our dream wedding venue. The staff are so Incredibly on the ball, and the day went more perfect than I could have ever imagined. I am so thankful to the team at Dodmoor and their stunning venue.

From the moment we first saw the venue we fell in love. Everything about dodmoor is just perfect. The day was above and beyond what we could have imagined and that is down to the staff and of course of fabulous wedding coordinator, Kara. Describe the best wedding that happened at Dodmoor House?

It's absolutely impossible to say! We've had so many weddings and each one has their own best parts! We do remember having a ball when a mariachi band came in and played to everyone during dinner, and we threw sombreros to guests from the mezzanine balcony! A petting zoo with the cutest animals ever came and we cuddled rabbits, lambs and baby goats. An English Bride who grew up locally married an American groom, who's family and friends flew across the pond for the big day and were all transported to Dodmoor on a double decker London bus! Every week we experience another "Best Day Ever"!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

If someone is willing to help you, take their help! It's so amazing to have people who want to contribute towards your day whether that's helping to make favours, driving your Nan to the venue or doing a reading in the ceremony. Anything that helps take a little stress away from planning really has a huge effect!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One of our favourite parts of seeing lots of weddings is seeing the personal touches our couples do to put their stamp on Dodmoor House! We love personal photos, it's always lovely to see pictures of our couples throughout the years they have been together.

Where’s the best photo spot at Dodmoor House?

Being next door to the Grand Union Canal is a treat, we are right next to a lovely bridge which provides such beautiful photos.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Dodmoor House?

Being so close to Northampton, we've had a Saints Rugby player get married here, a few guests from the Made in Chelsea cast and Emily Atack! (A roady for Coldplay and One Direction also got hitched at Dodmoor, but sadly Chris Martin and Harry Styles didn't make the guest list...)

What’s your favourite canapé?

We are partial to a mini Yorkshire pudding!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Cake - and not just at midnight! We are known for having a constant sweet treat supply in the office!

What is Dodmoor House most unique feature?

We might be biased, but there are so many beautiful features at Dodmoor. The most unique however might be the "secret garden" gate, which is located by the walled garden area of our main lawn. Absolutely gorgeous for romantic couple portraits.
