Description

Dodmoor House is an award winning wedding venue in Northamptonshire, with gorgeous Grade II listed barns as the perfect setting for your special day. The venue is exclusively yours for the day and evening, with four acres of landscaped grounds and a rustic courtyard area for you and your guests to enjoy.  We are a family-run wedding venue, and place huge emphasis on giving the best levels of friendly and professional customer service possible. Our goal is for each of our couples to feel like they are the only people in the world getting married. We welcome all kinds of ideas for your wedding, and love to help your dreams become a reality! Dodmoor is fully licenced to hold civil ceremonies in rustic and romantic surroundings, including a number of outdoor locations around our beautiful grounds. We can host up to 96 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 180 for the evening celebrations. We offer the choice of no-corkage daytime drinks or our unlimited drinks package, and while we have an extensive list of local and recommended suppliers, you are welcome to bring in your own external suppliers if preferred. We have been announced as the "Best Barn Venue" in the Hitched UK Wedding Awards and and we were a National Finalist in the Guides for Brides 2020 Customer Satisfaction Awards, British Wedding Awards and National Awards! Our past achievements include winning the Wedding Industry Awards "Wedding Event Team 2019", "Best Barn Venue" in the 2017 UK Wedding Awards where our couples praised us for our high levels of customer service and attention to detail, and the "National Countryside Venue" in both 2013 and 2016. We are Mark and Louise, who set up Dodmoor House as a wedding venue back in 2006, after a painstaking restoration of the Grade II listed barns next to our family home. We have since hosted more than 1,000 weddings, with the aim to make sure that every couple's day is entirely unique. Amazing
My now husband and I got married at Dodmoor House in September and had an absolutely amazing day. From the initial enquiry, to open days, meetinhs and of course the big day itself, every staff member was so kind, helpful and accommodating. Every enquiry was responded to promptly and anything that needed sorted was easy work for the team. We had literally no worries on the big day as we knew Dodmoor (and Tish!) had it all covered and the day ran so smoothly. I couldn't be more happy with how the day went, the venue is so stunning and in terms of value for money I think they definitely have it all. I would 100% recommend the venue to anyone and I am secretly hoping my friends get married here so I can come back as I loved it so much. Thank you all xx

Beautiful, friendly rustic venue
A truly lovely venue, with so many perks! Lots of great spaces and possibilities for your day! The staff treat you like family, adaptable to your every request. They go above and beyond. Me and my partner were drawn to this venue- due to the friendly welcome we received the money we got there, the additional decor they give, the honeymoon suite being all included as well as being able to bearing your own drinks throughout the day and own food! Generally an all round beautiful atmosphere, where the team will do all they can to give you the best day!

The perfect package!
We cannot recommend Dodmoor House and the team enough! From start to finish the service we received was exemplary. There is no limit to their flexibility and nothing is too much to ask. Our wedding coordinator Beth-rai couldn't have done more to help us in the run up and on the day. All of the staff were amazing and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. The barns and grounds are beautiful and they have thought of just about everything you might need. 100% if you're considering this venue, don't hesitate just book it!

A day to remember
We chose Dodmoor house as we had heard so many lovely things about the venue and it did not disappoint! My brother had his wedding here the year before and it was amazing, our big day was absolutely spectacular too. Not only was the venue just what we wanted in terms of a relaxed but beautiful vibe, but the management/staff made the whole day an experience to remember. From start to finish they were so accommodating and it didn’t feel like there were employees around us, it felt like they were there just making the day special. Louise was so kind and I really couldn’t say thank you enough to Katie for going above and beyond too. We didn’t want anything too over budget and they made sure we had everything we needed without feeling an ounce of stress. I can’t reccomend this venue, and the team enough! Thank you again guys, we will remember our big day forever thanks to you!! ❤️🥰

Perfect venue!!
Dodmoor House is an absolutely stunning venue, and to make it even better their staff are all so lovely. Every message we sent was replied to quickly and everybody we spoke to just seemed to love working there. Nothing was too small to message about and they were so accommodating with anything we wanted to include in our day. Every couple of months we were invited to open evenings to be able to have another look around and speak to their recommended vendors. A few weeks before our day we had a day in detail planning meeting where everything was discussed in fine detail, leaving us so confident that they would have our day completely in hand. Which they absolutely did! On the day our wedding coordinator Chloe was so fantastic, she put us at ease and we didn’t have to worry about a thing all day. Thank you so much!! Sophie & Dean

Just perfect!
Our wedding at Dodmoor was just how we imagined it would be and so much more! Beth-rai and the team were so responsive via email throughout the whole of the preparations and particularly in those stressful weeks leading up the big day! This definitely made the whole planning process so much easier to the point where my mum couldn’t believe how calm I was on the morning of! We were able to personalise our day in so many different ways including the no corkage fee in the day meaning we could choose our drinks to the decor and photos that we provided and were perfectly put up around the whole venue. Couldn’t recommend Dodmoor House enough for future couples! All of our guests shared how much of an amazing day they had and everyone wants to do it all over again! Also being able to have our four legged friends join us for the day was a bonus!

The most amazing venue!
Do not hesitate to book this venue! They could not have done more for us and really supported us to ensure we had the day of our dreams that represented us! The venue and grounds are stunning and the photos are absolutely dreamy! We got so many compliments. The non corkage package also supports you to ensure the day is tailored to what you want and there was no pressure ever to have it ‘the done way’. We also could not have been more impressed with the staff at Dodmoor. Our wedding coordinator was friendly, enthusiastic and made us feel like we were the only person to ever get married there. From supporting us in the planning process to running around on the day appearing from nowhere like fairies and even being there to sew up a broken dress! Book! Book! Book! You will not be disappointed!

There's really not the right words that will truly do it justice. Our experience with Dodmoor House was truly perfect. We looked at a couple of venues within the area (prior to Dodmoor) but when stepping foot on the grounds of Dodmoor, we fell in love instantly. From our first visit up until AFTER our special day, the team have been amazing (special shout out to Beth-rai!). No ask was ever too big or small for them - they made the entire experience magical and there's simply not one regret. It's everything we imagined, and more - and this is all down to the fantastic team. The venue is beautiful, and the staff are so accommodating, kind and personable. As I said - no words can truly describe how much we loved our special day. If I have one piece of advice for anyone yet to get married and who may read this - BOOK THIS VENUE. Simply Amazing
Right from the start we knew Dodmoor was the venue we wanted to get married at. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and a perfect backdrop for a wedding. But the staff are what we loved. From email communication to the planning meeting, nothing was to much. Carolyn was an amazing wedding coordinator and she made us feel completely at ease. Not only was she so kind but she was thoughtful, considerate and smiled the whole day!!! Which definitely eased the nerves!! The day itself was fantastic and everyone was remarking on how brilliant the staff were and felt so looked after!! Thank you so much to Katie and Robyn who also made our evening outstanding!! Our guests were so impressed with everything Dodmoor had to offer and we were so so pleased we chose them! We had guests with accessibility needs and they were quick to support with that. They were also really excited about the ideas we had for different things which made us more excited! I can't recommend them enough and am very thankful to Carolyn and the rest of the team!!

Even the guests were impressed
We booked Dodmoor for our intimate Muslim religious ceremony and they did a great job. They went above and beyond on the day as well as prior to the event. Even our guests were impressed with their service. They were reasonably priced and offered so many ideas and guidance we found to be very useful. They had all the small details covered from the umbrellas to the confetti baskets. Our wedding day went smoothly because of the exceptional service provided by Dodmoor. As a Muslim couple they made us and our guests very comfortable. We would highly recommend Dodmoor to all couples.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Dodmoor House?

It's absolutely impossible to say! We've had so many weddings and each one has their own best parts! We do remember having a ball when a mariachi band came in and played to everyone during dinner, and we threw sombreros to guests from the mezzanine balcony! A petting zoo with the cutest animals ever came and we cuddled rabbits, lambs and baby goats. An English Bride who grew up locally married an American groom, who's family and friends flew across the pond for the big day and were all transported to Dodmoor on a double decker London bus! Every week we experience another "Best Day Ever"!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

If someone is willing to help you, take their help! It's so amazing to have people who want to contribute towards your day whether that's helping to make favours, driving your Nan to the venue or doing a reading in the ceremony. Anything that helps take a little stress away from planning really has a huge effect!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One of our favourite parts of seeing lots of weddings is seeing the personal touches our couples do to put their stamp on Dodmoor House! We love personal photos, it's always lovely to see pictures of our couples throughout the years they have been together.

Where’s the best photo spot at Dodmoor House?

Being next door to the Grand Union Canal is a treat, we are right next to a lovely bridge which provides such beautiful photos.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Dodmoor House?

Being so close to Northampton, we've had a Saints Rugby player get married here, a few guests from the Made in Chelsea cast and Emily Atack! (A roady for Coldplay and One Direction also got hitched at Dodmoor, but sadly Chris Martin and Harry Styles didn't make the guest list...). Emily Atack from the Inbetweeners also attended, as a guest!

What’s your favourite canapé?

We are partial to a mini Yorkshire pudding!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Cake - and not just at midnight! We are known for having a constant sweet treat supply in the office!

What is Dodmoor House most unique feature?

We might be biased, but there are so many beautiful features at Dodmoor. The most unique however might be the "secret garden" gate, which is located by the walled garden area of our main lawn. Absolutely gorgeous for romantic couple portraits.
