- RR&r01/10/2026Very disappointing wedding staffVery disappointing wedding staffAll reviews mention how amazing Imogen was. She was y tho she left a month into planning my wedding. From then on I was left with people who didn’t communicate with and I was chasing. I complained and got swapped again. Then I was chasing a wedding contract for 2 months so that I could have the date fully booked in and not just provisionally that should have been a red flag. Communication was scarce and then things that had been mentioned via word of mouth were then later denied over email and told I would need to pay extra for. It got to two weeks before my wedding and the venue didn’t care about final numbers, plans, layouts etc. I was constantly chasing them. The day itself I was dreading due to all of this. After the ceremony, the venue had appointed someone to oversee the day and make all the announcements of where guests go at what times etc. everyone was outside after the ceremony and I found myself constantly saying why is this happening when this should be happening. I had to say why is everyone outside when I have paid for a wedding singer and all the drinks and canapés I had paid for inside. Guests told me they had not been notified of the wedding breakfast so nearly missed that. The photographer didn’t get his vendor meal that I had paid for, which I didn’t find out until after we’d spent hours in the wedding breakfast. The venue wouldn’t allow us to have an entrance song to enter as a married couple even tho the room was fitted with a sound system. We were told the dj they provided would announce us into our first dance then straight after the father daughter, but he seemed away with the fairies and wasn’t announcing things, got to the point someone had to go up and tell him to announce the dance! The venue had no evening buffet menu in place, I kept asking and they didn’t know. Even tho they do package weddings and every other venue I looked at told me a meal plan upfront? Finally after 7pm they gave the photographer a burger, only problem then he was missing vital wedding shots such as cake cutting and first dances. We created some sunglasses to do a wedding guestbook wearing them to remember all our guests who attended. These glasses “went missing” when the room got cleaned up for the evening reception. Venue staff claimed they did not know where these were but I searched every inch of the room and they were not there. They did turn up the following day on a table I had searched 7 times. They were of no use the day after the wedding. I just feel overall failed by the venue for their lack of care for such an important day to us. To them, it was just another day at work, but to us it was something we had planned for months and been looking forward to. I understand no wedding is ever perfect, but the venue failed me massively on lack of service even tho we had a contract which should’ve provided a certain level of service with it. I will never get my wedding day back. And instead of happy memories, I’m left looking back on it thinking of all the failures and how it should have been so much better than it was. From the first few messages we knew we were in good hands. They were able to help us sort out exactly what we needed for our reception, and gave us lots of different options for the evening do. Dinner was great and they helped us cater for lots of different allergies and dietary requirements. The documents they provided us prior to meetings helped streamline our planning process.
