Cuckney House Full Description
Cuckney House is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our outdoor small Victorian pavilion, dining room or stunning panelled ballroom.
Each room in the house has been sympathetically restored by Northern Design Award Winner Rachel McLane, offering a classic, timeless style with original architectural features.
The landscaped gardens are idyllic for reception drinks or from the bar, drawing room or dining room. The wedding breakfast can take place in the elegant, panelled ballroom, which seats up to forty or the dining room, which seats up to twenty-eight. If you prefer informal outdoor dining, a walled garden area seats twenty people. The panelled ballroom also makes a great disco /dance floor area.
The romantic house was once the home of the 6th Duke and Duchess of Portland. It was also one of the set locations for the 2014 film Testament of Youth, which starred Kit Harington, Taron Egerton, Dominic West, Emily Watson, and Alicia Vikander.
