Set within a striking former Victorian club in the heart of the city, our building brings its own quiet sense of theatre. It’s a space with history, character and just the right amount of drama, meaning it needs very little decoration to feel magical.

All our rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can say “I do” right here, or the Market Square and Council House are nearby.

Our spaces are perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger parties, with room for 12–120 guests depending on your plans. Whether you’re dreaming of a candlelit private dinner or a full-room celebration with a packed dancefloor, we’ll tailor the layout and atmosphere to suit you.

Gold - Ideal for those hosting the whole of their special day with us, or joining straight after their ceremony! This package includes welcome drinks, 3 course wedding breakfast, table wine, toast fizz, an evening buffet and exclusive use of various spaces for the full day. Platinum - This one is for those looking to go big! This package includes a rehearsal dinner, welcome champagne, Canapes, 4 course wedding breakfast, table wine, toast champagne, an evening buffet and exclusive use of various spaces for the full day. These are our standard packages, however you are more than welcome to add extras or change things to makes them better aligned with your vision for your perfect day!

Every bride's dreamEvery bride's dream
The Imperial room is the perfect space for a reception.The room is beautiful, so doesn't require any decoration unless wanted. The staff are so helpful, Hannah (the events manager) put together a complete plan for the evening in a spreadsheet (every brides dream), it was so flexible, and I was able to talk through ideas for the evening with her. Many of our guests commented on how lovely the food was.I can not recommend the venue and staff more, and would have a party there again in a heartbeat.The Imperial room is the perfect space for a reception.The room is beautiful, so doesn't require any decoration unless wanted. I can’t praise The Cosy Club for their excellent service at our daughter’s recent wedding breakfast. The venue was excellent but the staff were absolutely fantastic. They gave us plenty of time and made the occasion really special. Many thanks for making this happen and we will be certainly be visiting again.
