Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel

My partner and I had our wedding day on the 15/09/24 in Coed-y-Mwstwr and it really is true when people say. It was the best day of our lives. This was made possible thanks to the incredible events team at Coed-y-Mwster Hotel. We first met the events team at one of their lovely showcase events. We loved how enthusiastic, approachable and friendly they were. We felt like they were just as excited for our wedding as we were. The venue then became high on our list. We also loved how warm and cosy it was with plenty of affordable accommodation both in the hotel and nearby for family and friends (we had a lot of family travelling far). However, the main reason for booking was their communication. We had experienced other wedding venues taking weeks to reply but not this one! Sometimes they replied to our emails within minutes and always with the same enthusiasm! It didn't take long to decide to book the venue. We were married in the lovely outdoor glass folly followed by a reception in the bar/outside and then wedding breakfast in the Hendre suite. We also had dinner for the bridal/grooms party the evening before in the fox suite and despite having another wedding on that night we were well looked after! Our guests raved about the food. My Mum who complains about food when we take her anywhere for dinner absolutely loved the food. She also loved how attentive they were to her dietary needs and ate everything which meant so much to me (you'll never know how much!). We were blown away by the teams communication. On the lead up to the wedding they answered my many email queries quickly and thoroughly and I never felt like I was bothering them. They helped to make the process that little bit less stressful. The venue coordinators on the day we're so helpful. I considered hiring my own personal coordinator after listening to a podcast rave about them but I'm so glad I didn't. There was no need - the coordinators looked after us so well and took notes of all our special requests. I can hand on heart say that there was nothing that went majorly wrong at all the whole day. There was a very minor minor issue that's not even worth mentioning and even at that the hotel were apologetic and provided free champagne. It was such a lovely touch and so unnecessary due to how minor it was! We appreciated it all the same. I don't think I could ever say thank you enough to the whole team at Coed-y-Mwstwr. They made us feel so special and like our wedding was the only one they were hosting all year! We will cherish our memories forever and are counting the days until our full photo album and video are ready so we can relive it again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The new Mr & Mrs Davies 🥰🤍🤍🤍

Wow, what can we say apart from a big thank you to everyone at Coed-Y-Mwstwr for making our day so special. We got married on Saturday 24th August. We first looked at this venue in April 2022 and as soon as we stepped foot inside, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. The grounds are breathtaking and the Folly was the ideal place for our summer wedding! The whole process from the day we booked up until our wedding day, was spotless. The service we received from Megan, Rachel & Tegan was outstanding. The staff on the day couldn’t do enough for us. We've been happily married for 2 months now and we still talk about how perfect the wedding day was. A big big thank you, Mr & Mrs Archbold

We chose Coed y Mwstwr as our wedding venue because we thought it was such a hidden gem and provided such great value for money. We viewed many venues, and we thought Coed was the most reasonably priced for the location, great packages available and lovely surroundings. One of the reasons we preferred Coed was because they weren't super salesy and didn't try and upsell us at every chance, unlike other venues in South Wales. The venue itself was stunning. Both the interior and exterior were beautiful and we were so lucky with the sunny weather, our drinks reception and photos outside were just gorgeous. The children in attendance had a blast playing the garden games outside too. I also wanted to mention the bridal suite, as it was such a beautiful room and made for some really stunning photos of me and my bridesmaids getting ready on the morning of. The other hotel rooms are a bit dated but it's still a lovely place to stay. The food was amazing and everyone really enjoyed. We liked that we could give everyone a choice of meals, and it was really important to us that dietary requirements were catered to, and Coed made sure this was done. There was some slight confusion about gluten-free options on the day, but it was flagged before anyone ate anything they shouldn't. The wedding team at Coed were wonderful in the run up to the wedding and on the wedding day, and if we had any questions they were really responsive via email. On the morning of our wedding the team were really attentive, guided us through everything, made sure we were both running on time and everything was going smoothly. They also co-ordinated with all of our suppliers on the morning, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We were both so relaxed on the morning of the wedding and were totally confident that everything was in hand thanks to the venue staff's expertise and efficiency. We couldn't have asked for better! Big thank you to Rachel, Tegan, Paul and the team for making it so special.

I’m going to try to put into words how grateful to you all that we both are, but it may be somewhat of a task. We had the most perfect of wedding days. It was faultless from start to finish and that is thanks to all of the hard work that you did. Thank you so much for everything in the lead up to the day and for ensuring that our day ran smoothly and keeping us updated every step of the way. Thank you for ensuring that our day was setup perfectly, our vision really did come to life and we couldn’t have achieved that without you. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed and have all commented on how smoothly and perfect the day was, you had a huge part to play in this. Thank you so much for dealing with the constant room changes/add ons. Everyone said how wonderful their rooms were & that all of their needs were catered for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Where to begin…. I first visited the venue with my mum 2 years ago for one of the wedding showcases and fell in love, we booked pretty much straight off the back of this. In the lead up to the wedding every member of staff we spoke with could not do enough to help and answer any questions no matter how silly or small they were. The big day came around and our coordinators Megan and Tegan were absolutely incredible! I honestly didn’t have to think about a thing, they did everything for us, which meant me and the girls could enjoy getting ready in the morning with no additional stress. Paul who was Duty Manager for the day also deserves a special shout out! He was on hand to answer any questions and guide the day with no hiccups. We over ran a tad in the after ceremony drinks, but Paul let us know this wasn’t an issue and everything would still run to time. The food was absolutely delicious! We still have guests letting us know how good the food was and I don’t think there were many left overs. We honestly cannot thank the staff enough at Coed Y Mwstwr, it will always hold a very special place in our hearts because you made our day perfect 💛

Thankyou to everyone at the Coed who made not only our big day, but also the whole planning process, an absolutely amazing experience for us! Over the 18 months of planning we spoke to/met with all of the wedding co-ordinators and various Hotel staff, and always received prompt, detailed, friendly responses. Nothing was too much trouble! We visited many times for lunch/dinner leading up to the wedding and always had lovely service from the Restaurant/Bar team, as well as fantastic food and scenery! In terms of the big day, I can’t thank the people who ran the day enough! Everything was on time, questions were answered thoroughly, and last minute changes were accommodated well. A friendly atmosphere the night before and morning of was created, a yummy breakfast was delivered to the Bridal Party when getting ready and bedrooms were so clean and spacious! The Coed team also worked so well with our Photographer to make sure we made the best out of our poor weather situation - very grateful for the Folly which kept everyone covered and we still got the outdoor feel to our photos! The team created a bespoke menu for our guests, as well as offering traditional options and both went down a treat! Presentation was fantastic, generous portions and the team handing out the food were amazing, so friendly and approachable - definitely added to the upbeat atmosphere I was hoping for the wedding breakfast. From communication and planning to delivery and execution, I can’t recommend having a wedding at the Coed Y Mwstwr enough! We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much!

Where to start 🤩 after looking at multiple wedding venues and nothing feel quite right we decided to have an appointment with Coed and knew within minutes we had to book our wedding there! Everyone single member has staff has been so friendly, so accommodating and has gone above and beyond! The wedding planners Megan, Rachel and Tegan were so amazing, no question was silly and no request was too much. Paul from the kitchen staff was excellent at tailoring everything to our liking aswell as catering to all allergies and preferences. I really can not recommend this venue more, they truly care about every wedding and it has such a strong family vibe aswell as stunning scenery x

We got married at Coed-Y-Mwstwr in July 2024 and it was the most amazing day! All of the staff were brilliant and couldn't be more accommodating, even the guests commented on how great they were. The hotel and the grounds itself is simply stunning and looks beautiful in our photos, we had our ceremony in The Folly and the drinks reception in the surrounding gardens. The wedding breakfast was held in the Hendre suite and the food was incredible, we still get comments from our guests many weeks later. A special mention to Ollie who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran on time and that we were relaxed throughout the day. Thank you to the wedding team, especially Rachel who was our coordinator on the day.

We had the most perfect day celebrating our wedding at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr. The venue is beautiful - our guests loved it and it looks stunning in all of the photos. The staff were also great and made sure the day ran smoothly. The food was lovely too. Would recommend!

Dear Rachel and The Coed Y Mwstwr Team, We just wanted to send you an email to thank you for making our wedding day so special. From the moment we arrived on the Thursday you helped and took the stress off both of us, by helping us unload the car, going over final plans and allowing us to check into our rooms. Thank you to everyone who helped the morning of the wedding the staff were absolutely brilliant. Thank you to everyone who helped me and my bridal party just before the ceremony Megan and another man sorry I didn't catch his name. They were amazing and helped me to stay calm. The ceremony room and the wedding breakfast room was just perfect. Thank you for helping our suppliers to set up. The rooms were absolutely beautiful. Thank you to Paul for showing us around the final set up in the breakfast room and for announcing us to our guests. He was so lovely and kind. Thank you to the amazing chefs, waiters and waitresses to help bring out our delicious food. The food was incredible and had so many compliments in the day from the guests. Including the hog roast in the evening. Thank you to all the bar staff for serving throughout the day and night you were fab. And a big thank you to you Rachel for all the answered emails and requests. You made this planning so easy and stress free. You are very good at your job and we will definitely recommend this venue to friends who are looking for a place to get married.
