Buchanan Castle is rich in history with rooms filled with fine artwork including family portraits of the Dukes of Montrose. Our grand dining room with its impressive high ceiling is ideal for your ceremony, a sit-down meal or a banquet buffet.
The open plan lounge offers magical views across our gardens, golf course and woodlands. We have roaring open fires here that create a cosy, relaxed atmosphere for your guests to enjoy.
We have a 3-bedroom apartment on-site which is ideal for on site ceremonies that require changing facilities. Local accommodation is available at a short distance.
We understand that each wedding day is unique, so we would like to discuss with you what would make up your dream day, just the way you imagine it. We offer tailor-made to suit individual requirements.

'Delight to work with'
The team at Buchanan Castle were an absolute delight to work with. From the very start of meeting with the team, we were made to feel very welcome and felt assured that they were focused on our day being perfectly in line with our hopes and wishes. Every detail of our wedding was carefully planned, covering even the smallest of points that wouldn't have even occurred to us - their specialist knowledge and experience was on show throughout. Their recommendations of suppliers, and their working knowledge of our chosen caterer made our day run very smoothly. Our questions were answered quickly and thoroughly, and no request was too big or small. On the day itself, they worked calmly and efficiently, so that our guests were well taken care of and we didn't need to worry about how things were being managed behind the scenes. Everyone at Buchanan Castle is so warm and friendly, and they clearly took as much delight as we did in our day running well!
