The venue hire price starting at £875 is for a Ceremony only and includes a 3 hour hire period, flowers for the hall, and our wedding co-ordinator. For a reception only we charge £1100 for a 5 hour hire period which includes flowers for the hall, and our wedding coordinator. Your hire can be extended for £150 per hour To hire the hall for both a ceremony and a reception costs £1750 for a 6 hour hire period. This includes flowers for the hall and our wedding co-ordinator. If you are looking for a truly cost effective means to marry in style then consider our 'Simple Ceremony' package at £550. This includes a 2 hour hire period, flowers for the Hall, our wedding co-ordinator and a glass of fix for everyone after the ceremony. You'll need to book the Registrar. You could add canapes at an extra cost. Weddings at Bedern Hall are personal and authentic. We offer you and your party exclusive use of the Hall and ancillary spaces. Our regular team of Staff will help plan and organise your day. Our prices are may appear low, but that does not mean we are 'cheap'! Operating on a non-profit basis, Bedern Hall aims to create as much use of the building by people looking to celebrate life events in a unique venue.

Our resident caterers offer a range of catering styles and budgets from canapés, through to a full waitress served seated dinner. Afternoon Tea makes a smart, informal and cost effective option too. You might choose generous sharing platters as a great option for a more informal feel, or go for the 'A la Carte' option and be waited on hand and foot by our staff. Our resident caterers are happy to design a menu with you for the day. In all cases, service, cutlery, glassware, crockery and some floral decoration is included. Also included is complementary glass of fizz and a cheese platter! We have an excellent range of quality wines at fair prices, and stock local beers.

Weddings at Bedern Hall are classic, personal and authentic. Return to the little rituals that have stood the test of time and experience the best of the old and the new, enjoying a traditional feel with all the modern touches. We will help you to make your special day just as you envisage. We can accommodate 80 people for your ceremony and drinks reception and 60 people for your wedding breakfast. With over 25 years experience our small team will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your day runs smoothly. Catering is in-house using local suppliers. Our resident caterers, Bradshaws, are happy to design a menu with you to suit tastes and budget and are able to offer special menus for vegans and any dietary issues. For a celebration that reflects the best of you both, we’ll sit down and chat with you about how we can personalise your wedding. We’ll take care in shaping your day exactly as you wish and we’re always on the end of the phone as the preparations progress.

A Truley wonderful day
It's a spectacular old building hidden away in the heart of York. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Included in the price you get some floral arrangements to decorate the hall. The only thing about it that is slightly tricky is the hall opening hours are mean that it's difficult for anyone with 9-5 job to see it but the staff with work with you and make and appointment outside of they're usual hours.

Friendly staff and excellent catering
My sister and brother in law hired the room and catering to celebrate their wedding anniversary. It is a beautiful place, large room’s, friendly staff and the catering was excellent. The history to the place is fabulous and whatever your occasion you celebrate here, will fit everyone’s needs

You made our wedding a day to remember
We used Bedern Hall as our wedding venue for our small, intimate wedding this year. It was a beautiful place to get married and throughout the organising of the wedding, Elly (Hall Manager) was very responsive and accommodating. I absolutely love that Bedern Hall is such a hidden gem in the centre of York, just a few minutes' walk around the corner from the Minster.
